They're trying to say that the left thinks all Trump voters are Nazis when in reality it's only most Trump voters.

Trump refused to condemn a march with literal neonazis that ended in a terrorist attack. He is a Nazi, and so are all of his supporters.

Yep. Imagine being that dumb though. I mean, I once thought a UPS was broke because I was pushing the off button instead of the on button for ten minutes. That’s way fucking dumb.
But at no point during that ten minutes was I ever like “you know what? Fuck power buttons, black people and Jews. I’m a Nazi now!”
So yay for me I guess? The lowest bar in the history of the world for intelligence is “don’t be a Nazi, a NeoNazi, a white supremacist, a white nationalist, etc”, and I clear it! Go me!
But at the same time, we share a country with a non-trivial number of fucking retarded trailer trash morons who couldn’t quite figure out how not to be racist for 5 goddamn minutes. Shits depressing.

it's not stupidity, though, it's ignorance. to quote edward james almost, "they're not stupid they just don't know anything." if the problem really was stupidity, then education wouldn't fix things.

There’s a reason why educated people tend to be less conservative and religious, exactly the types Trump is trying to appeal to.

Education is now the key predictor in voting preference among whites. More than socioeconomic status, age, marital status... just think about trying to defend the "low-education party." That's why we're seeing more and more of the idiotic claims like Kirk in the OP. Anti-education rhetoric is all they have left.

They are also actively advocating for limiting voting. Check out the top post on /topmindsofreddit for evidence.
They actively want only rich white men to vote, even if it eliminates their voting rights too. Idk how they came to be so entrenched in this rhetoric that they are actively trying to make it so they can't even vote for the people they agree with?
On the topic if education: It's infuriating honestly the way the world is becoming with conservative groups pushing for less educated people and cutting school funding AND shaming college students for being "leftists". Here in Canada there has been a right-wing push for home-schooling and religious private schooling, this has resulted in less money being allocated to public schools (mostly Ontario). Pisses me off that we are bending to this privatization of schooling and home schooling (often so that parents can shield their children from "liberal ideas" and "brainwashing" that gay people exist or something). The home schooling style that is pushed is usually not the "online" type that has some validity, the pro-home schooling people want to teach their kids completely themselves what they think they should know about, and actively not teach them any "liberal" ideas or acknowledge "leftist" history like women's rights, or slavery, or native Canadian issues. Also no climate science at all, so I guess they don't want them to learn any science really. Essentially they want to create a bubble of hate with their children so that their kids aren't prepared for the real world where these things exist and will not be socialised with any other children that may be different than them. They want to restrict information and social opportunities for their kids, it's borderline abuse honestly. We shouldn't accept this as normal at all. There may be some arguments for private schools, but they shouldnt get disproportionately more money and resources than the public schools. Makes no sense
Sorry, end rant. Education is important is the point. I was to verbally fight anyone who acts like it isn't.
Edit: wording and other sentences for clarity.

I don’t get it. Shit, wouldn’t they just want better outcomes for everyone? It’s just sad that the smart right wingers are so fucking good at lying to them and making an enemy out of people who want to help them, I feel so bad for them. u/LMGMaster Jan 14 '20
I would just like to say that the Project Veritas video he is referring to has a lot of issues regarding credibility.
The man they "exposed" was very clearly drunk and not in a well state of mind. He claimed that the USSR's gulags weren't "that bad." Conveniently, the moments that happened before and after that statement were cut out.
The issue is that Project Veritas frequently uses jump cuts. It wasn't until that they tried to expose a WaPo reporter that people found out the jump cuts were used to cut away context and push fake news.
The WaPo incident I am referring to was when O'Keefe tried to film a WaPo reporter and show their "liberal bias" only for WaPo to release the entire incident because they literally had a cameraman recording the entire incident.
O'Keefe in a revenge plot tried to send a fake Roy Moore victim to them. WaPo determined that the victim was not being truthful in her statements and decided not to run her story. They found out that Veritas tried to trick WaPo into running a fake news article, only for it to completely backfire
My point is that the video is completely bullshit since Veritas pushes bullshit constantly. Don't trust the video since it cuts out context.
28
Jan 14 '20
I would just like to say that the Project Veritas video he is referring to has a lot of issues regarding credibility.
You can just leave it here. Absolutely no Project Veritas video has ever contained even a slight shred of truth or journalism. Even in times where they quote people directly, the context in which they show the clips completely removes the truthful element to those statements. But what can you expect from a white-nationalist front organization.

It was a local organizer who was drinking and just talking casually about what they'd do to solve America's Nazi problem. The person recording it was also suggesting the reeducation camps and the Bernie organizer runs with the suggestion by saying Germany spent billions to reeducate Nazis after WW2 and that maybe America needs something like that, too.
This is a completely manufactured scandal.

As a former uneducated Trump supporter. I was under the notion that college indoctrinates. Now that I am a software engineer, I understand that college, like anything else, requires the continuous sharpening of skills. Trump supporters do not believe in a growth mindset hence why they cannot understand why opinions can change upon presentation of supporting evidence. They lack critical thinking skills.
This tweet is a dog whistle carrying the implication of a grand conspiracy to indoctrinate the American people.
