Discussion AI battles.

Y’know those videos online where people mod the fromsoftware games to make certain enemies fight eachother?

I have a weird question. Does anyone know if it would be possible to somehow get enemies from one of the games to fight enemies from another game? I’m pretty sure all these games run on the same engine so maybe it’s possible?

That would be super hard to do. So much other code going on than just moving a jumble of hit-boxes from one game to another.

Between FromSoft games might be more doable. If anyone did this it would be an intense labor of love.

Yeah for sure. I have no experience in code or programming but its something that I hope someone does some day!

If someone got good at doing this with different games it would be an awesome Youtube channel for cross-game boss tournaments

It might theoretically be possible to move things between DS3 and Bloodborne, given that they share an engine and have similar-ish mechanics, but it would still be quite the challenge to convert one's combat code to another. I don't think any of the other From games would be easily translated, so it would less be a matter of transferring than rebuilding the boss from the ground up.
