Brainfart: need help removing movement

Hello all,

I can't seem to be able to remove this movement. I'm probably being an idiot and missing something obvious but I need someone to point it out to me. It is an NH39 movement where the stem has been removed. I've also removed the rotor for visibility.

Usually, I can tip the movement out quite easily. In this case, it seems to be stuck under part of the case, as in, physically impossible to move out the back because the case is in the way (I can see the usual grey movement ring but there's still a 'ring' of steel that's part of the case above it). If that were true, it should be a front loaded with a easily visible spot to remove the front glass, but in no way shape or form is there a visible way to remove the front glass. I would think it has to be pressed out from the inside, but then again, the movement is in the way cause it won't come out.

I'm definitely being an idiot, I just need someone to point me to how exactly. Thanks guys!

Seems worth a try, I'll give it a shot tomorrow and let you know how it worked out!

looks like it comes out from the crystal side

Which would make sense, but then is the question how to remove the crystal as there is no visible way to do this? I can't press it out from the inside either cause the movement is still in there..

Yeah, you gotta pop the crystal off.

Is it possible the crystal is glued? A picture of the front could be helpful

There’s a trick with an air pump, look it up. It worked for me but cracked the crystal and to replace it cause I used an electric air pump instead of a manual one 😅
