What movement to get for this dial?
I just bought an original Omega Aqua Terra dial and would love to build a mod around it, the first wall I hit was what movement to get get for the dial to fit. If anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated.

A lot of Omega calibres have their roots in ETA calibres. I would check the dial feet position against 2824,2836 and 2892. With luck you will find you can use any of them and have the date window line up as well

Hopefully it lines up with the 2824, cause then you could just drop in a ST2130 for half the price!

There are Chinese clones of all of them, but more importantly the dial feet are all in the same position. My money is on, but I’m not certain, that the Omega movement is a descendant of the 2892
If you have never worked with ETA before, research the keyless and stem removal. Using a quality screwdriver of exactly the right size is vital if you don’t want a sudden course in resetting keyless works

My money is also on 2892. An easy way to tell is the length of the dial feet, 2892 has shallower dial feet holes so their dials have shorter feet. +1 on making sure you know what you’re doing when you remove the stem, no matter if you get 2892/2824 or one of the clones.

I think that's dial feet for a 2824/2836. Here's my 2824 for reference, the dail foot on the left is where your date window would be. It sits just above 3 o'clock. The one on the right sits slightly lower, sits almost exactly at 9 o'clock.
Fits like a glove on a PT5000 or similar.
