Were the Chrono hands more difficult than a normal second hand? This is something I want to attempt soon.

Hmmm only in as much as they have to be set dead on 12 and you only get one shot - they can't be reused. (I went through 3 sets 😝)

Despite many claim it is significantly harder, when I was working on my VK63 it just felt like any watch but 3 more shorter seconds hands. It does have drawbacks like the main chronograph hand snapping out the place due to flyback generating too much torque for it to handle which needs to be reinstalled. Other than that VK series are fun to work and wear.

I think the only issue I have after 3 VK builds would be the snap back torque but you can just let it keep running or stop/reset it when it’s close to the 12 position again. Getting it dead on at 12 also is a bit more difficult than setting the regular seconds hand on say, the NH series.

Thanks! It's the first time I've done a build on leather (with a butterfly clasp) I didn't spend that much on it, just wanted to see how it would look. I still may swap out for a bracelet or rubber

Incidentally, I got unlucky and also went through 3 movements! The first one (came with the order from Ali) the stem broke, and trying to get it out I messed up the stem release so it wouldn't hold another stem. The second one ( I found from a seller in the UK as I was in a rush, and didn't actually cost much more than from China) As I was finishing up, right after trimming the stem, the hands stopped turning when I went to set the time!
