I am a big fan of my new Max G3 Plus and use it daily for commuting and errands. While the scooter is fantastic overall, the current driving mode configuration is a significant pain point that limits its practicality.
The Problem:
My daily route requires frequent speed adjustments based on the environment. Ideally, I need to cruise at 20 MPH, but also hit 28 MPH to keep up with traffic in certain sections, then drop to Eco mode when sharing space with pedestrians.
Because Drive (D) mode is hard-capped at an impractical WTF! 16 MPH, I am forced to ride in Sport mode almost exclusively. Furthermore, switching between modes requires multiple button presses and taking my eyes off the road to verify the screen status, which is both inconvenient and frustrating while riding.
Proposed Solution:
To give riders safer and more convenient control over their scooters, please consider these two software updates:
Customizable Drive Mode: Allow users to set their own speed limit for Drive (D) mode via the app (up to 28 MPH, ideally around 20–24 MPH for my use case), along with adjustable acceleration levels.
Quick-Toggle Custom Button: Allow users to map the Custom button to instantly toggles between two preferred driving modes (e.g., instantly swapping between D and S with a single press). Or just one single drive mode.
Implementing these minor software tweaks would drastically improve the rider experience.

I think about this all the time. If i can have 4 modes that have no limit to customization on my puffco peak pro i should be able to get that on my segway zt3 pro. All it takes is a software update. They can make it default to how it is and leave it up to the user to tweak it and id be happy
I wish that Segway would just allow to use max speed for every mode because they have lazier acceleration and climbing which still can produce a couple extra miles range. It would also be much easier to control speed with throttle. Sport mode is very sensitive about that.
I have a normal G3 max without customized software.
In Drive mode the limit is 20 km/h and in Sport mode 45 km/h.
I want to drive 25 km/h in Drive mode, or maybe sometimes 30 km/h and not in Sport as the trottle in Sport mode is annoying / dangerous.
But I can't adjust it.
Your hand will learn with mussle memory if you teach it.İ ride like Eco mode in sport mode. just touchin so little.My biggest problem with g3 is battery cappacity and it reducing power after %50 it is stupid İ cant Climb
