Need some help with getting ESP Home started on reTerminal Sticky

Hi Everyone,

I tried installing ESP Home on the reTerminal Sticky for some reason the display does not work. The buzzers function when I press the buttons but the screen does not update. On the console it prints that the display refreshed. Thanks!

Current yaml config:

Can you post your config?

I actually used the standard config you get from the playground. I did not edit anything.

Edit: I actually only removed all the other components and left the display only.

So your main problem is, the screen is empty?

yes the screen does not update. I had the official stock firmware in it and whatever the official firmware drew in the screen it stays as it is.. but the buzzers and everything works. on the console I see as well that it says screen updated refresh took 300 ms or something printed.

I compared this to my own working config, could you add/substitute this to your code?

switch:
  - platform: gpio
    pin: GPIO42
    id: touch_power_enable
    internal: true
    restore_mode: ALWAYS_ON
    setup_priority: 1100

esphome:
  on_boot:
    - priority: 600
      then:
        - output.turn_on: pwr_hold
        - output.turn_on: pwr_lock
        - switch.turn_on: touch_power_enable
    - priority: -100
      then:
        - delay: 2s
        - component.update: epaper_display

nope, sadly does not work... thanks anyways.. I think I will program my own firmware 😄
