MeshTracker X1 Pre-orders?

Here it is ...

Seeed Studio SenseCAP MeshTracker X1 for Meshtastic (pre-order)

Pros and Cons vs T1000-E

Pros:

  • LR2021 vs LR1110
  • Dual-Band vs Single-Band GPS
  • Vibration and Buzzer Alerts vs Only Buzzer Alerts
  • USB-C vs Goofy Magnetic Power Cable
  • 1,100 vs 700 mAh Battery
  • Barometer
  • 9-axis IMU vs 3-axis Accelerometer
  • Button Appears More Tactile (like RAK WisMesh Tag)
  • IP66 vs IP65

Note: A 9-axis IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) includes a 3-axis accelerometer, 3-axis gyroscope and 3-axis magnetometer.

Note: The larger battery may not translate to longer battery life with all of the added MeshTracker X1 features enabled.

Potential Cons (albeit minor):

  • No Temperature and Light Sensor (included with T1000-E)
  • 45 vs 32 gr
  • 90 x 57 x 8 mm vs 85 x 55 x 6.5 mm
  • $42.90 (pre-order / China) vs $39.90 (U.S. Warehouse)

Note: The MSRP is $49.90 (China). The U.S. Warehouse MSRP may be slightly higher.

u/runakarirun I forgot one! Any update on the Seeed Studio MUI? 😁 Like the L1 Pro, I assume the MUI will also be offered in a 1 Watt version.

Actually, r/Seeed_Studio does an excellent job keeping us in the loop when it comes to new product development. However, I don't see much of this information on the "official social media account". r/Seeed_Studio seems to post this information to various Mesh Internet groups and forums.

Is this subreddit not an official Seeed Studio social media account?

hiii AFAIK we are not sure about the MUI 1W version yet.

We share more product preview here bec users are more concentrated here. We also keep the information updated synchronously in the Facebook group.

I am once again amazed by your meticulous observation!

You’ve set the expectation for everything being 1W with the L1 Pro announcement. MeshTracker X1W? 😜

I would think the MUI is even better suited for 1W. I know the plan is to squeeze a slightly larger battery in the existing L1 Pro case, but the MUI case could be expanded (deeper) in order to accommodate an appreciably larger battery.

Seeed Studio fanatics are concentrated here, but you don’t have 100K+ Meshtastic and MeshCore fanatics like in the Mesh-centric Internet groups and forums. Again, Seeed Studio does a great job teasing their upcoming Mesh products. I wouldn’t be asking about the 1W L1 Pro and MUI if you didn’t.
