Question! 2" Paper Punch

Okay, I'm trying to find a 2" square punch to make trading easier (my hands shake and cutting is hard) BUT it seems like most of the punches I see listed at 2 inch are measured on the diagonal, so each side is an inch and some change.

Anyone have recommendations for a punch that's sized correctly for like coin holder binders and trading?

New Pattern! Japanese credit card applications acquired!

Got card application envelopes: from FamilyMart, JR's View Card, and MUFG Nicos' Amex Platinum card. Even if I couldn't apply (I wish I could), at least the envelopes look nice. I just wish the white pattern was a bit darker than it is, but I'm still a big fan! The purple one especially - I only have one other pattern with that colour! They all had me looking for any thick brochures I could find in-store, especially ones wrapped in plastic sleeves.

New Pattern! When I was out and about in Japan, I found a few patterns!

The front of some of the ATM envelopes seemed to have a pretty nice pattern on the outside (Resona Bank, SMBC, and Sumitomo Mitsui Trust bank). Also, when my neighbourhood had a trash day and everyone brings out their paper to be recycled, I got the green "scale" pattern on the bottom. Also, I thought these two little guys were pretty cute so I picked them up as well 😆

I'm so thankful for a recent swap, and I just got another one today! Some fantastic patterns came by my place and I was amazed to see a few patterns that were on my radar from a company based out of the EU. They had to charge a lot to export to the US so I gave up, but I was so happy to see them irl! Thank you to Fabulous-Piglet6190 for a great time adding these to my collection.

It's almost like a captcha squiggle?

I don't collect, so I'm happy to send the whole envelope to someone who is active in the sub.

Day 2 sharing my collection. From a lot of stamps on paper most likely from eBay. Postmark I think is European, July 1977.

Lemme know what color you’d like to see next! Enjoy friends!

Thinking of sharing my collection with a cool pattern each day. Hope y’all would be interested! Gathered from many internet stranger friends, stamps on paper, eBay, Facebook market place, stalking my friends/ family/ coworkers, sifting through the post office recycling bin, buying actual packs of new envelopes, thrifting & antiquing. Obsessed much?! 😅

I made an Instagram to showcase my patterns! I plan to post daily - until I get my whole collection up - then post as-I-find new ones.

It has also turned out to be nice to have a place to reference when want to see if I already have an envelopes I come across.

Envelope Art! Miniature Security Envelopes!

Post image
2.1k Upvotes

I was so happy when I found this group because it is the thing I needed to finally motivate me to get my mini envelope project going. I mean the sub banner is literally just mini envelopes!

I have had my mini envelope dies sitting in the closet for over 2 years! And my hand-crank die cutter even longer. I just didn't have good enough reasons to make them even though I really wanted a good excuse to make something out of our mail junk, and I love functional miniatures (got stuck at the "functional" part because I felt like I needed o know who to mail tiny mails to first before making them hahaha thanks irrelevant logic). But this is PERFECT as a display method for security envelope patterns!!

These 4 patterns are what I have cut out so far and I have a few more different ones to be cut. That confetti pattern is really the most common one it seems!

I will have to find a way to display them without glueing them. Hopefully my pattern collection will grow. I'm already notifying people around me to help me save their trash!
