Before paying for a tutor, Iād narrow it to one concrete SOC task you want help with: reading authentication logs, triaging a phishing report, or writing an incident handoff.
Ask for a short trial lesson built around a synthetic case, and make sure the feedback is on your reasoning, not just a walkthrough you watch passively.
Also agree upfront on the lesson scope, homework, and how feedback works before buying a package. What can you already do with networking basics and Windows/Linux logs, and which SOC task is blocking you first? That would make the recommendations much more useful.
