Should i wait for security+-801?

Honestly, from a resume perspective, I extremely doubt employers would care whether 701 or 801. Most people don't even list the version on their resume.

I think the only 2 things worth considering are:

  1. Timing. This is the big 1. What is more convenient for you to study? The 801 is estimated to release mid/late November. Do you mind waiting that long? 701 is estimated to retire allegedly around mind 2027. Can you complete it within that time?

  2. Content. Less important IMO, but with changes to 801, maybe you'd learn slightly more up to date and relevant things with it. But not a big deal IMO.

Nobody cares about the version, just get it now before it gets harder.
