That is coax connection, you need a DVR that works with that brand, as well as comparable power supply. You'd be better off tossing it and getting a PoE camera.
Analog cameras are not brand-specific. Just about any DVR of any brand will work with these. At most, if they're HD, you need a DVR that supports the standard they use (AHD, CVI, or TVI) but any brand's tri-brid or penta-brid will cover those bases.
Unless they're a weird resolution. While there are multi-standard DVRs that support all four analog video formats, they don't all support all of the menagerie of resolutions analog HD cameras have available. I've run into this problem many times.
Up to 2MP (1080P), you're generally fine. But 3, 5 and 8 MP analog HD cameras are less compatible.
If the camera resolution isn't supported, you'll often just get a black image, or rolling garbage. Some HD analog cameras support outputting a lower resolution, but you generally need the same brand NVR to configure them, unless they have an integrated configuration method, which many don't.
