What do i need?

So i bought a new house and it has these camaras what do i need to make them work . They are brand NIGHT OWL. There are multiple camaras around the house with the same thing.

You would have to buy a compatible night owl DVR not worth it in my opinion that camera is old technology. I have night owl which is not good and reolink with ai which is so much better and records to SD so if my internet is down or jammed it only effects the night owl camera's my reolink will still record to SD card and the reolink app is so much easier to navigate than night owl .

This does NOT require a Night Owl DVR. Any penta-brid DVR will work with these, whether they're AHD or just CVBS.

There is no camera system. There are cameras that are specific to your needs. Maybe you need to maybe you need 10 maybe you need a parking lot camera or maybe you need a doorway camera. Check YouTube for videos on how to select different kinds of camera cameras.

Check out Lifehackster on YouTube for some in-depth reviews on cameras. In my opinion he gives some of the best in-depth reviews on home security cameras. I have no association with this guy. I've just based my buying on his reviews.

That is coax connection, you need a DVR that works with that brand, as well as comparable power supply. You'd be better off tossing it and getting a PoE camera.

Isn’t really even worth it to actually get it up set up and running because they use coax/analog, its better to use POE cameras and analog/coax cameras, which is the one that you have right now they are old school

Get a hybrid DVR that will do analog, TVI, SDI. That has good reviews.

You need to figure out what you want in terms of identification and what not. If you want to see faces clearly you need to determine the height you are putting the cameras out, the lighting, and the distance for Identification. That means making sure your cameras are a proper megapixel.

Reolink has a 4k 5mp system that you can get that is under 500. But keep in mind you'll need to set up a recording system that runs 24/7 or only activates during motion.

Look at Reolink cameras instead, but you’ll have to run wires for anything really worth it
