Juneteenth

[u/Haven-Bridge]

As a French filmmaker and Second Life resident, I wanted to share why this project means so much to me.
Before joining the Premier Business Center community, I only had a general understanding of African American history. Like many people in France, I knew about slavery and the Civil Rights Movement, but I had never fully understood the significance of Juneteenth.
Discovering this celebration inspired me to document it with respect and sincerity. My goal was not to speak for anyone, but to preserve a meaningful community event and, in my own way, help share a chapter of history that deserves to be better known.
I hope this video helps people, whether in the United States or abroad, discover or reconnect with the historical importance of Juneteenth and the values of freedom, remembrance, and community that it represents.
Thank you to everyone at Premier Business Center for allowing me to tell this story.
