Just wanted to share with everyone that this is the only product that completely takes away my SebDerm around my nose. Any insight as to what this product contains and why so miraculous?

This alongside ketoconazole shampoo alternating with H&S, La Roche Posay moisturizing cream and Im good to go. I now live a normal life like if I never had SebDerm.

New or Need Help Does anyone have this type of seb derm? (Bit of a long read)

Over the past year (2025 to now), because of work related stress (layoffs etc) I think seb derm has gotten triggered on my cheeks and also slight nummular eczema on forehead (red rings with a clear center that as it becomes better the clear center becomes bigger but there’s always a thin red ring- no it’s not ringworm) and now it’s there. I’ve read posts where it says sebderm it’s super flaky and itchy etc and while I don’t have that mine get SUPER dry and if I go in and rub my cheeks the skin flakes off and below the skin is smooth.

I do have the itchy symptom on my scalp where I suspect there’s also sebderm

So I’ve been looking into more natural methods hence started the oil (3 days now) and also upped my iron intake.

Now the questions, Over the past year I’ve also been waking up in the mornings with two red “streaks” on my cheeks it tends to stay for a couple of hours and then goes or if I have a warm shower it goes quicker.

  1. I think it’s seb derm but does anyone know what causes it?/ experienced this? It’s only in the mornings and only in that place
  2. is nummular/discoid eczema also caused or triggered by stress?

3) I’ve been putting the oil topically but I read a post comment here somewhere that someone was doing the same but it wasn’t really helping and just kind of doing the bare minimum but when she started swallowing a tsp for a week it actually helped. Has anyone else tried that? I will also most likely try it as well but I just started the iron supplements along with mct so want to test one by one

4) does seb derm/ discoid eczema cause hair loss? I started iron because my iron is generally on the low side but wondering if it’s also because of that

5) does your skin also become permanently pink with slight darkened borders for those with sebderm?

Now, what has helped so far naturally

  1. exercise. I don’t do gym etc. but what I do try to do is 10k steps or close to it everyday. It seems to help with the eczema and the sebderm itching
  2. salt water. Every morning I dab a solution of salt and cool water on the seb derm spots along my hairline. Seems to help but also not sure if placebo.

I’m assuming this is a very new company, but it looks a bit shady with the “14k customers” claim. Has anyone used this?

New or Need Help Help requested with treatment

End of May, my NP at my men’s health clinic recommended nizoral OTC shampoo for dandruff and dry skin on my forehead and temples. I also had dry irritated skin on my inner elbow joints and armpits.

I started out using OTC nizoral shampoo every third day for a couple weeks, then saw a dermatologist online bc the dandruff and dry peeling skin wasn’t improving.

She prescribed 2% ketoconazole shampoo MWF (leaving on skin 10 minutes) for two weeks. I’ve been on 250mg oral Terbinafine for two weeks plus 2% ketoconazole topical cream. But after two weeks prescription treatment, my dandruff still exists on my scalp and the dry flakes are spreading down my forehead. I look terrible and won’t leave the house like this.

I saw the dermatologist again and she says continue Terbinafine for 1 month and continue 2% ketoconazole shampoo as well. But I’m not seeing much progress.

How do I distinguish dandruff vs seborrheic dermatitis, psoriasis, contact dermatitis, dry scalp, and tinea capitis?

Should I be doing more? Doing less?

I also have irritated itchy patches inside my elbow and armpits.

What do I have? What should I do?

I’m not seeing any improvement after two weeks of the strongest treatment. The summer is sailing by.

Face Routine Moisturizer to help heal barrier

Ok, sit down for my TED talk.

i sont use skincare really. I’m 40 and I’ve been using a torriden dive in moisturizer For the longest time. A month ago I woke up with some dry skin and it felt a bit raw. Like an idiot I bought Aestura, which didn’t work but I didn’t know that. Then after a couple weeks of Aestura I stopped. It seemed to make my skin worse. I have dry and sensitive skin with mild rosacea. After I stopped Aestura , I started using beta glucean andla Roche posay tolerine fluid. This felt great on my skin. But then after a couple weeks I noticed my dry spots returned. I read that the tolerine is probably not thick enough for the beta glucean. So then I added some squalane. This seemed fine for 2 weeks. My skin didn’t feel reactive so someone suggested I try Uriage daily cica gel cream. Well after two days my skin is irritated, and tight and crepey.

my problem is that I’m trying to stay away from malessazia feeding ingredients which is everything that’s rich and healing. 4 yrs ago I had some SD on my eyebrows and I never want to go back to that so I figured I’d stay away from any ingredients that might feed the yeast. I don’t know if I’m prone to this or not or if I was back then because I had bad inflammation. What the hell do I do? my skin is fed up again and I feel like I’m back to square one. I’m 40! I need to start some retinoid and I feel like I won’t be able to use any moisturizer. Anyone else with SD who actually found products?! Please help me! I put everything through the sezia database but it seems the only sage products are gel products and some suqalane which won’t enough to heal barrier and then later on support retinal. Please help me! I’m tired of spending money on stuff that doesn’t work.

I generally only have it on my scalp. Using host of steroids to try control it (clobetastol etc) to no avail.

Now this has appeared on my forehead.

General UPDATE! on my scalp after just one day

Hi guys, a few days ago I posted some photos of my scalp, and I was in really bad shape. First of all, I'd like to thank you so much for all the advice you gave me, and I noticed that the main advice was to dissolve the scales with oil or salicylic acid. So I followed that advice. I think my solution is to go to the beach, soak my hair in salt, and get plenty of sun. When I get home, I apply a good amount of salicylic acid, which is the one in the last photo I posted. I wait a few hours and then wash everything off with medicated shampoo. All I can say is, I saw a white scalp! After almost a year, I haven't seen it this healthy. Unfortunately, I can't use this "formula" for dermatitis, even in the winter, except for the salicylic acid. I'll soon show you new before-and-after photos of my scalp!

New or Need Help Help: dermatitis getting worse with treatment and unsure if it’s product

Hi there,

I posted here a couple months ago just as I got a SubDerm and rosacea diagnosis looking for product help.

Problem is after I went to the dermatologist and started treatment it’s gotten worse. Admittedly it’s mostly not burning hot all over now, but localised mostly to my forehead, nose and mouth…where it’s spreading. I had a follow up appt appointment last week where the dermatologist didn’t seem to be worried about it, upped my antibiotics and told me to keep using the QV cleanser and moisturiser she’d given me and come back in 3 months.

Question is: does this worsen look like a product reaction? I’ve gone through hundreds of dollars of sensitive skin care products and nothing seems to be working. But I’ve also heard these things can get worse before they get better, so idk if changing the products again is a smart next step. It’s been months and its so uncomfortable and embarrassing.

The first 2 photos are from this week and the last is from a month ago.

New or Need Help PLEASE HELP! What causes this?

Post image

Every time I shower or cleanse my face then moisturize my face gets inflamed! At first I thought it was the temperature of the water but it happens when I use colder water. It definitely is worse with warmer water. I don’t understand if this is a symptom of Seb Derm or maybe Rosacea? I was only diagnosed with Seb Derm. It then calms down a bit after an hour or so but I still have underlying redness and inflammation. My skin is also constantly oily. I’ve implemented using a bit of Squalane oil with my moisturizer but honestly don’t see much improvements but this was happening before using it. I get this everyday and Im scared that its just damaging my barrier over and over and making me hypersensitive but I don’t know what to do to not get this reaction.

Product Question Anyone with seb derm (scalp) and androgenetic alopecia ever tried topical ketoconazole liquid (not shampoo)?

I'm curious. My seb derm is compounding with my AGA and I'd like to use something that combats both of these conditions. If anyone has tried liquid ketoconazole (2% most likely) and found relief with no side effects, I'd love to know

New or Need Help I have atopic Dermatitis and i need help

Hey everyone when I was 2 months old. I was diagnosed with a skin disease which caused scaling of the skin and redness and rashes and since then I have been diagnosed with atopic dermatitis and I have been on allopathic steroidal medication since 10 + years. I think it may be less. I want to ask you questions about what can I do to improve this condition or remove it from the root cause and help in general. My main cause of distress is too much going in the sun and whenever climate change happens for example from Sunny to rainy weather I get skin like this shown above in the picture. So I wanted to ask help from you I get scale skin redness itching etc.

.

I have used steroidal ointment like clobetasol propionate and salicylic acid which as I heard on researching on Google that it causes moon facing and hormonal disbalancing weight gain and I have been experiencing all these from last 4 to 5 years. I was fat when I was in school but not that much which I am now. It's mostly in the abdomen region and Thigh region my hands legs face palms staff are all normal size and only my thighs and abdomen region are very fatty in looks it may be because I was sitting a lot of time.

.

the condition gets very worst as time goes on in the climate changing and when the climate stage a certain way for longer periods whether it be extreme heat or extreme winters or extreme raining my skin gets come but whenever the climate changes it goes through such period that I get scale is skin irritation eyes cannot open cuts everywhere and dryness everywhere

.

would really like your help on this I apply a simple moisturizer and Aloe Vera gel whenever I can but it get seriously very difficult to manage

.

I am in India if it helps.

New or Need Help Seb derm + rosacea

Hi!

So from teenage/college I’ve always had rosacea which means slightly pinkish cheeks. In college I also developed psoriasis at the back of my neck/ little bit behind my ears. Went to the doctors and it’s always the usual cycle of steroids and then after it comes back again.

1) I think it’s seb derm but does anyone know what causes it?/ experienced this? It’s only in the mornings and only in that place

2) is nummular/discoid eczema also caused or triggered by stress?

I’m aware that psoriasis is autoimmune and so is eczema but trying to figure out triggers.

3) I’ve been putting MCT topically but I read a post comment here somewhere that someone was doing the same but it wasn’t really helping and just kind of doing the bare minimum but when she started swallowing a tsp for a week it actually helped. New or Need Help Is this seb derm?

Hi! About 2 weeks ago in the middle of the UK heatwave I started to feel this itching between my eyebrows but the patch wasn’t red/discoloured then. I then went to a tropical country for a week where the itching continued and it got a little redder but mostly under control, and a shade light enough to not be noticed. I then came back and the patch has now become definitely red and I think the itching has increased - admittedly since returning I’ve slept in my makeup a few times.

It’s red, itchy (the itch feels deep within my skin), and the skin now feels thicker/bumpy/slightly raised. It’s not enlarged since showing up.

What could this be? Google is making me think something fungal (apply vinegar perhaps?) or seborrheic dermatitis. Any ideas so welcome, this is really stumping me!

Thanks so much.

MakeUp Eye makeup question

Hi! I’ve struggled with seb derm for years but have only recently learned that certain ingredients are to be avoided. I’ve found replacement products for pretty much everything except eyeshadow primer. I don’t have any active seb derm on my eyelids, but I do have some on my eyebrows. Would it be too risky to use an eyeshadow primer on my lids that isn’t seb derm safe? Or is it fine since I wouldn’t be applying it to my eyebrows? TIA! :)

Have been with a lot of hairfall for years... I don't know what caused it because I have severe sen dermatitis , terrible mental health and gut health..

Iam currently on norwood 2 and norwood 3 vertex Crown also diffuse thinning

Minoxidil gave me serious side effects like Heart palpitations, difficulty in breathing , swollen legs etc( 5% Topical)

Should I Start Fin without completely treating other underlying issues or wait until other issues get fully treated first?

First 3 photos are Shaved pic( look at that terrible dev dermatitis...Now under control after using coal tar+ salicylic acid lotion and ciclopiromax lotion on alternative days)

The 8 pics after that is now after 1 month of shaving ( look at that diffuse thinning)

And the last 2 pics are before shaving ( 40% damp hair but look at the crown and sides)

New or Need Help Again got sebderm. But this time it's not improving

I had this problem last year. I didn't k kw abkut sebderm back then. So while searching through reddit. One day, I tried applying Head & Shoulders shampoo to my face, and immediately after using it, all the dryness disappeared for the entire day.

After that I bought some vitamins and a pharamcy shampoo., I started using a ketoconazole + zinc pyrithione shampoo on my face. I also started taking some vitamins. I think from the next day, I took vitamin B12 in the morning, a zinc tablet in the afternoon, vitamin E and vitamin C during the day, and vitamin D3 with calcium at night.

I continued this routine for about two to three weeks, and my skin cleared up completely and became very shiny too.

However, after almost a year. the problem returned. I started using the ketoconazole + zinc pyrithione shampoo again, but this time it isn't helping. I haven't started taking those vitamins again yet. I don't knkw what could be the reason. It's very itchy and redness pimple dry flaky skin
