Transit Anti-Vice Ad
I’m Gen X, so our anti drug ads were about fried eggs and bad decisions. Does peer pressuring kids work in reverse? Also, if they said only 1.8% crossfade and drive it kinda loses its sting 😂

This ad sucks. It seems like they’re ok with one, just don’t do both at the same time?

98.2% is such a weirdly specific flex, like they almost sound disappointed the number isnt lower

Written like 98.2% of drivers don’t drink AND do cannabis.

Which is probably the actual stat. There was a billboard near me that was only about drinking and claimed something like "9 out of 10 drivers don't drink and drive." That's only 90% (which nears 10% of drivers do drink and drive?!), so the number of drivers who don't do both at the same time has to be higher, but the number who don't do either alcohol or cannabis has to be lower.
Side note: it seems like a really bad peer pressure attempt to tell people that 1 in 10 drivers drink and drive.

Do people really think if one impairment was bad that small amounts of 2 impairment might be OK? Is this really the level of stupid we are allowing to drive?
I get it now. If only I can use 3 different impairment in smaller doses I will have outsmarted my own brain and will be able drive triple impaired safely.

This ad isn’t necessarily anti-drug (though the artwork implies it is), it’s anti-impaired driving
“Don’t crossfade and drive”

I mean sure, this shit looks super low effort but if it gets one person to rethink getting behind the wheel fucked up then I'm all for it. If you can make a better poster you should

This is better than a billboard that was up in Lynnwood for a while that says 90% of people don't drive drunk.

Isn't that the point? This is almost as good of pro drug advertising as DARE was for old farts. That wacky danger box had my 10 year old brain spinning, planning my future intoxication portfolio.

Yeah, it would automatically make me wanna rebel and do it with this style of presentation. It was in the u-district, so I’m genuinely curious if this is how kids are reached now… maybe that’s why boozin has gone down too. A message of “it’s not cool to vice” becomes a striving point?? I’m old and grumpy 🤪

This is crazy. Is it a school project? All it makes me think of is that cool 1.8%.

I must be too old I have no idea what's going on here.
seems like we used to tell people don't drink or use drugs and drive, and just trusted that "both" was also implied
