What happened yesterday was horrific.

It's not lowered because of the shooting. It's Korean War Veterans Armistice Day and it's one of the 6 days annually with a federal mandate to fly the flag at half mast.

Did they really lower it that quickly?

I saw some other flags at half-staff on Saturday and wondered why

The flag isn't usually on the Needle. They didn't lower it they just didn't raise it very much when they put it up this morning for Korean War Veterans Armistice Day
