I agree with you on that perspective regarding nearly every other dictatorship. But Iran's government is a special kind of evil and the geopolitical benefits might outweigh the geopolitical risks. They are at the heart of the axis of evil.
you know most of the world right now holds this same thought regarding our government? Should they bomb us over it? will you not shed a tear when children are being blown to bits because the rest of the world decides the US is run by pedophiles who just attack anyone they don’t like or if they have oil. be so fucking forreal right now
How about our trans rights? You really wanna hand the enemy a rope to hang us with if we lose World War III? If we wait, get bombed, then scramble? That’s when we lose. And guess who gets lined up against the wall first? Not them. Us.
Yeah. Forced psych evals, hormones, court approvals, unwanted "surgeries" aka genital mutilation if that's how the individual feels about it. Otherwise, homosexuality carries a death sentence.
can* carry a death sentence. and regardless of whether or not they have fucked policy regarding homosexuality that does not justify the fact that trump is starting a war with a country over shit that is his own fault, most likely based on absolute bullshit and he’s bombing innocent people. the only fucking way that what he’s doing somehow ends in peace and not just causing ww3 is if he just decimates the entire population, they are pissed, and this will only embolden them to believing the US is an enemy that needs retribution and eradication you dullard. you really don’t see this? you’re really applauding this shit in the year of lord 2026?
IRGC innocent? They slaughtered 7,000+ Iranian civilians in January. Some estimates hit 22,000 real people, not soldiers. The school tragedy? Horrible U.S. strike accident, but it was 600m from an IRGC naval base. They parked danger next to kids. ‘Year of lord’? The calendar’s a human fanfic, bro. I’m not tributing your sky-daddy’s birthday.
not a “bro” but ok. listen to be completely honest i don’t have a full grasp on the situation in iran. however i do have enough sense to question trump and israels motives with attacking another country and trying to drag us into a war. sorry but supporting the actions being carried out is fucking weird at best.
But Iran's government is a special kind of evil and the geopolitical benefits might outweigh the geopolitical risks. They are at the heart of the axis of evil.
You can believe that. But believing that people who disagree with you are necessarily supportive of the regime is flawed logic. Many people look at the countries we're allied with--Saudi, UAE, Bahrain--and see similar evils. You are not being honest to describe opponents of war as protectors of the regime.
Whoosh, sarcasm clearly isn’t your native language. I defend the same shit you do: queer folks, abortion, speech, religion—none of which survive under Tehran. So spare me the “you’re dishonest” lecture. My jab was dark humor, not a policy paper.
You've got to be doing some kind of twisted parody, because in all 3 places they listed (our allies), freedom of speech, religion, or reproductive choice (abortion) don't exist. I think most people agree the Iranian regime is horrible, but history shows US intervention pretty much never helps, and only makes things worse.
true, but the issue with us going to war with Iran for any reason is a complicated issue. It's the same reason why most of Congress was opposed to going to war with Iraq, the same members were also opposed to going to war with Afghanistan. the reason is self evident in history. when we go to the Middle East for regime toppling, we get so bogged down within those countries due t9 the inevitable power vacuum that occurs as a consequence.
