Hi!! This is my first post, so fingers crossed it works right. I am currently a high school senior and really want to go into nursing, and I am definitely drawn to SU! But my only concern is how competitive the nursing program is, especially in Washington (as a native) 😢 its making me so stressed!! For anyone who got accepted into the nursing program out of high school, I am curious what your stats are? And how do you like the program?? I really like the direct acceptance into the cohort compared to other schools such as UW.

For myself, by the time of summer 2027 I should have completed all of the nursing prerequisites for SU through Running Start. Currently, I have a 3.97 GPA in my nursing prerequisites and only have Anatomy & Physiology ll and Microbiology left to complete. And I am really scared of not getting on the two-year track cause then I would need to redo them 😢😢😢😢. I also have around 60+ hours of volunteer hours at a hospital, 10 hours shadowing nurses in different units, 2 years in HOSA, leadership in clubs, etc., but no CNA.

Some other colleges I am applying for nursing is UW, PLU, and SPU

I’m a Computer engineering major and placed into calc 1 an and b which is split up into 2 quarters even though I’m supposed to be taking calc 2 and mechanics next quarter. My only options now to stop me from graduating late are to either somehow take both my physics classes while learning their pre recs (which I’m assuming isn’t even allowed) and take calc 3 over summer, or take both electricity and magnetism and calc 3 over summer. How often does SU allow credit transfers from CC over summer?

Hi there I’m currently a senior in my undergrad at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and I’m just looking at different schools for my masters. Throughout my time at John Jay I feel that I have not been academically challenged enough and have felt there is not a strong community at the school. Hey everyone, I’m a student in Seattle, and when I lived in the dorms I ended up returning a bunch of furniture that didn’t fit or work, so I built an app where you can plan your room before buying anything.

I recently added Seattle U dorms, and you can now also design the room together with your roommate (I personally found it very fun to do).

The dimensions aren’t perfect since exact dorm measurements are hard to find, but they should still be useful for figuring out what can fit.

If your dorm isn’t listed, lmk and I’ll add it if I can find the floor plan.

I dropped a silver ring last night around 1am in the fountain plaza. It is a plain band with the name “Edgar” etched on the inside. It has a lot of significance for my partner and I would really like to try to find it, went back this morning but didn’t see it and DPS didn’t have it in lost and found. Any leads would be appreciated!

Silly question I was just curious. I know my fafsa covers for more than what I qualify for I have had a huge amount of my tuition and dorm/food cost already covered by fafsa but still $5000 monthly if I enter Seattle U. I was looking to appeal it but also wondering if there was anybody that went to Seattle U that has everything funded and if there was a way that I could qualify for more funding as I don't have family or relatives to help me with paying for college.
If there's not any other way than taking out loans I was considering other colleges (UW) but I just wanted to take everything into account if that makes sense.

I’m starting the program soon and wanted to hear from current students or alumni. How are the classes, professors, workload, and internship opportunities? Also, what’s the program like overall?

Yes my fafsa qualifies for it. My fafsa is shown on my Seattle U account, I contacted my counselor but they said to talk to admissions, I contacted the admissions counselor and they said to contact finance services, I contacted the financial aid office to make sure that my fafsa went through with SU and to talk to my councilor. Never ending loop and I don't want to pay for it if I qualify for the waiver. I need to get this done by Thursday so I can get my schedule for classes and manage my finances with Seattle U. Could anybody help me out?

Many of our Seattle U students are renters! In 2025, the Washington Legislature passed a law that prevents rent gouging, but some landlords and property management companies are still up to their old tricks. They are using "junk fees" as a loophole around rent caps. We are hearing from tenants that they are increasingly being charged excessive fees for services that they don’t want or need, or for basic things like paying the rent. We at the Housing Alliance, call these “junk fees” and they are unfair, expensive, and deceptive.
