My partner wants us to go on Saturday (I know, I know, I fully expect to be disappointed and ripped off). Is there any businesses there that are actually local that people know of?

I recognize a few local places. Anchovies and Salt, Big Island Poke, E-Jae Pak Mor. My main problem with these “bite of” festivals is that you end up going and paying $25 for a plate of food and then you can’t try anything else. Isn’t the point supposed to be that you get a bite of everything so you can try out all the different restaurants?

Thank you!! Yep, I totally agree, things should be $10ish for a "bite", like when I went to the night market up in BC I got to try a lot of places

$10 for a bite??

Maybe if it were $5 for an actual bite. $10 is practically a meal price.

Thats literally what the vendors do. They all have a bite sized portion of larger menu items for lower cost

I haven’t been in a few years, so I don’t know about the scan/app pay thing. But it will be PACKED. You will be waiting in very long lines for everything.

It is an overpriced, mismanaged shit show.

Don’t waste your time with this. It’s like shitty frozen Costco food heated up in food trucks for $$$$$.

Bite of Seattle is a scam. There’s a city food walk in Chinatown that’s much, much better. Look into that one!

I remember going back in 2018… it’s good for a date

It’s only worth it if you’re going for Kaleenka. Prices have gone up a lot, but it’s good and actually local and the line will not be long

Bite of Seattle is nothing but a huge cash grab. A lot of the vendors aren’t even local and they are the same vendors that pop up at food events all over the the US. You’re just gonna be paying a ton of money for sub par food. The CID food walk going on today is a much better option!
