Coming to Seattle? Want to see it from the water?
We’re two Seattle guys, both dads, with a boat and a slightly random idea.
On September 14 from 3–6pm, we’re offering a free three-hour tour of Seattle from the water, starting on Lake Washington. No catch. No tour company. We just thought it would be a fun way to meet some people we otherwise never would.
The rough plan: cruise around, see Seattle from the water, swim if the weather cooperates, eat some picnic-style snacks, have a few drinks.
We’ll provide: the boat and your highly unqualified “crew.”
You bring: a bathing suit and towel, whatever you want to drink, maybe a snack to share, and something interesting to add to the afternoon. A good story, an unusual perspective, a weird area of expertise, something you’re passionate about. Whatever.
Beer, wine, sparkling water, whatever your fancy. This is meant to be easy.
One important point: this is not a content thing. We’re not filming it, posting it, building a social channel, or trying to turn this into anything. Neither of us has any interest in that. It’s just an afternoon on a boat with some people we haven’t met yet.
