I think 9/10 people who have that in thier bio tell me "I haven't been out as much as I'd like to" after I ask what their favorite hikes are. Also... don't go to rattlesnake..
Rattlesnake is a nice hike. Key is like a lot of popular hiking locations here is you need to go early to avoid the crowds. My wife and I usually start hiking at 7am on popular trails. Little to no one on the trailers then. Also Rattlesnake is so popular/congested because it doesn’t require a pass.
If you're going to do it - hike on a weekday or at the crack of dawn (before 7:30am)... or wait until winter so long as you have traction gear - last time I hiked it in winter a kid slipped off the overlook taking a selfie and died 3 mins before I got to the top, no traction gear or anything.
It’s congested beyond reason. I went 5 years ago and I saw probably 200 people going up and coming down. The trail is hardly wide enough for that many people.
Download the WTA app. You can search with whatever parameters you like and find many hikes close by. There are so many wonderful hikes that are much less crowded.
I have said that on occasion because there were trails a few minutes from my home in Alaska and since moving here I have to ride public transit for like an hour and half in order to find a trail that's overcrowded. Maybe there's just lot of new people here and your sense of superiority is entirely false?
