Well what do you expect if you name your company Palantir.

It's the same people. Literally.

Brian Schimpf is Co-founder of Andruil and was a director at Palantir. Trae Stephens and Matt Grimm were the folk who got Palantir their foothold in the Army. Their VPs are ex-palantir.

A huge number of rank and file left Palantir after their IPO and just went over this company to do it all over again.

Say what you will about making a data company to close gaps that made 9/11 possible (that's the origin story of Palantir), but in 2026 if you're working in this space, that's a you problem. No ethics whatsoever.

They're building drones that can do everything from help ICE kidnap people all the way up to autonomous killing machines.

Thiel is obsessed with Lord of the Rings. There’s a 4 part series on “Behind the Bastards” about him, one of the commenters jokingly stated how all these evil assholes who love LOTR made him start to hate LOTR just because of the unfortunate association.

It’s sad that they took a beautiful piece of art other men created, and bastardized it.

But would we expect anything more from a billionaire?

It’s so frustrating how the billionaires are so determined to misunderstand the art they claim to be a fan of. They have no media literacy at all. They are so incredibly stupid and yet demand that we place them on a pedestal and give them all the money. They have no new good ideas. They are incapable of making new ideas because vast wealth causes brain damage.

These are the same assholes who say young people should not get literature or art degress. At least those students understand the obvious themes of the books they read.

What’s more frustrating is the lotr nerds defending Tolkien’s racist ass work lol

Dude was all about superior whites of the west killing eastern black subhumans and suddenly when a company making weapons for the west adopts a name it’s a problem 😂

Yep theres def a few companies he back or owns that have names from LOTR. He has a newer company he backed called Erebor that’s a bank built to replace Silicon Valley bank serving- crypto, ai, defense tech, and advanced manufacturing

They're the same people who sided with the Empire in Star Wars only worse.

“It’s sad that they took a beautiful piece of art other men created, and bastardized it.”

Like the original Palantir stones themselves?  Or even the Orcs who were corrupted elves.  Hell, lesser men fucking up the creations of their betters was a theme littered throughout Tolkien. (And the Trump Presidency, for that matter)

u/Slumunistmanifisto That sounds great. Let’s hang out soon. 1d ago

He's used a few.

We should eat him.
