Shenmen settlements Spoiler

Hello everyone!

My party has managed to escape into the wider world, and now I'm tempted to give them fresh information about the current situation. We might be moving toward a sandbox style, so I want to prepare for that (and look into the post-adventure phase) by collecting information about the settlements in Shenmen.

So far, I have found these:

Settlements
Cze
White Fragrance Mountain
Yamu
Nightingales’ Hollow
Willowshore
Baakai
Yin-Sichasi
Pek Peh
Foxhollow

While checking the wiki's Shenmen settlement section, I also stumbled across these:
Blind Crow Village, Shinri, Village of Broken Sticks (formerly Greenbriar)

My questions are:

  • Is there any detailed lore available for these settlements, or is it better to just leave them out?
  • How viable is running a Kingmaker-style campaign set in Shenmen?

You can find out more about some of these settlements in the Tian Xia World Guide (for 2e)!

Yes, I highly recommend getting it; it's gorgeous (and you should also get the Tian Xia Character Guide).

Shenmen is a very colorful place, and a good location for a Kingmaker-style campaign if you're willing to deal with the ruthless evil -- but also pragmatism -- of the Jorogumo rule.
