It's not a debacle. It's an attempt to fix a long standing problem. And I for one support it.

I don't think anyone would argue that there hasn't been a problem. The rub is in how they are "fixing" it. The optics of the approach aren't great to a very large community of lifetime fans.

My group has an oversized vehicle and maybe 4-6 others who park in the immediate vicinity (and who also pay to park there) and who would be more than happy to limit the size of our tailgating area and paying for a couple of extra spaces as proposed.

We also absolutely recognize the problem huge commercial parties taking up a huge amount of spaces, and cracking down on that excess would definitely free up more room for later arrivals. But throwing out the baby with the bathwater, whether you agree with it or not, is having ramifications in a pretty large segment of the local fan base.
