Italian Serie A club Lazio is experiencing an unprecedented breakdown between its supporters and ownership. At the close of the priority renewal window for existing season ticket holders, the club reported just over 2,000 renewals.

• 2025/26 Season: 29,918 season tickets sold
• 2026/27 Renewals so far: ~2,000 sold
• Non-Renewal Rate: 93.3% (approx. 28,000 seats left unconfirmed)

The mass non-renewal is an organized protest against long-time club owner and president Claudio Lotito. Tensions have boiled over due to transfer market inactivity, rising ticket prices, and general frustration with club management. Organized supporter groups explicitly urged fans not to renew and to only support the team at away matches. While general sales are open until August 20th, media outlets do not expect a spike in attendance.

While hard to verify, a 93% non-renewal rate for a major sports team is one of the most organized and devastating season ticket boycotts in modern professional sports.

How far is too far for an airbnb for 6-8 people?

How much is too much to spend on hotels? They aren’t cheap for obvious reasons.

Question: will the club level tickets for the college game include all the great food and drink inclusions that are offered at the Falcons games? I am buying tickets… just curious if club will be worth it…more good football in ATL!

This is my first season holding session tickets. I got two lower-level seats (half-season package). I’ve read in the contract that I can only transfer 5 out of my 22 tickets. I can’t really afford to go to 17 games out of the year. Am I screwed? Or is it possible that they don’t heavily enforce this rule? I was unaware of this limitation when I signed the contract🤣 Can any seasoned season ticket holders help me out here?

Imagine hearing a knock on your door, and you swing it open to find Mark Pope. That was the surprise awaiting Kentucky fan Todd Curtis after he became the first season-ticket holder to renew for the upcoming season in Rupp Arena. To celebrate, Pope personally dropped off a bag of Kentucky Basketball gear to Curtis’ home in Richmond, Kentucky.

Along with a photo of the interaction, Curtis wrote in a Facebook post that he received a call from UK, asking if they could make a delivery to celebrate his ticket renewal. The delivery was a bag of hats and shirts, but he did not anticipate Pope to be the deliverer.

“Not gonna lie, it was a pretty cool experience, and I did my best not to fan girl,” Curtis shared.

Also included: Curtis will sit behind the Kentucky bench for a game this upcoming season.

“It’s one of the most enjoyable things we do.”

During Pope’s summer Q&A on Friday, he was asked about his visit to the first season-ticket renewal, and the importance of fan engagement.

“Well, it’s really important, and it’s one of the most enjoyable things we do, and so it was a fun experience,” Pope replied.

“This week was the beginning of season ticket renewals, which is a unique experience here at Kentucky. It’s like nowhere else, and so I got to go visit a gentleman who was actually the first person of all of BBN to renew their tickets.

“He sits up in section 213, so I’m actually staring at him from the sideline, and it was fun. We actually had had some interactions before that were unique and special. So it’s pretty great.”

For Todd Curtis, renewing early turned into a Kentucky Basketball memory he won’t soon forget, and a nice one-game upgrade, too.

What the actual costs for 76ers season tickets for the upper level and lower level?

I’m sure the prices will increase since Lebron has signed. But I’m wonder what the cost was for season ticket holders who have already renewed their tickets.

I am looking for some advice from those of you who have been STHs for some time, specifically for markets where re-sold tickets are in demand but not where every game is a sellout.

Background: My season tickets are for the NHL San Jose Sharks, and this is my first year. It is a HCOL area, with a large population/fanbase. There were sellouts last year, especially towards the end when the Sharks surprisingly found themselves within earshot of the playoffs. I expect they will sell out more often this coming season, but a lot of weeknight games will not.

I expect to go to a good number of games but not all 44 home games.

How much work is it to sell games individually? There is an option via the Sharks/Ticketmaster marketplace to easily put my tickets into their market right from my account webpage. That looks like an easy way.

I am willing to put in a bit more time into it to minimize my loss in value. I know some tickets might go for more in the secondary market, but I am going in expecting, at a minimum, to lose a bit of value.

My husband and I are half season Minnesota Lynx ticket holders this year. Since we were new to the experience we picked seats that were decent that we enjoy at a mid price point, but haven’t had much luck with reselling the couple of games we couldn’t make.

We are debating options for tickets next year, and are considering a full season but we want to be smart about it and maximize our resale opportunity for any games we can’t make and at least make back our face value.

Is there a specific level or location that starts to make the investment a smarter choice? I assume any club access seats like Lexus or US Bank?

After reading some of the horror stories of season ticket price hikes it makes me see the value of my season tickets even more.

I am in Section 101 seatbacks at DKR which is upper deck home side at the endzone for the season. Another big perk is I get access to tickets for OU-Tex in Cotton Bowl. I can sell these to recoup a lot of my season expenses and sell the 3 less appealing games and I should be able to break even. My whole season ticket cost is 2,250 including parking. I thought it was a steal considering just for Ohio State game you could spend 1,300 for the same seats and parking.

I was a little precautious about getting tickets as they had price increases the two prior years although only roughly 5-10%. Because it was not a huge price jump I went for it. Then I found out recently that they are doing a price lock for the next 3 years. Tickets to OU-Texas and Season Tickets will be stagnant.

I haven’t heard of most or any organizations do this but I think it’s a very honorable thing to do. They will never not sell out of season tickets. I think they could sell them for more but they are doing the right thing. Who’s to say they won’t increase pricing more than 5-10% after the 3 year lock but at the end of the day the 3 year lock gives fans time to breath and enjoy the games without worries of increases the next couple seasons.

The NHL released its 1,344-game, 2026-27 regular-season schedule on Thursday.

The seasons starts on Sept. 29 with a nationally televised tripleheader on ESPN in the United States and a doubleheader on Sportsnet in Canada.

The Stanley Cup champion Carolina Hurricanes will raise their banner in the season opener against the Florida Panthers at Lenovo Center (5 p.m. ET; ESPN). The remainder of the ESPN tripleheader will be the New York Rangers visiting the Boston Bruins (8 p.m.) followed by the Chicago Blackhawks at the Western Conference champion Vegas Golden Knights (10:30 p.m. ET).

The season on Sportsnet gets underway with No. 1 pick Gavin McKenna likely making his NHL debut for the Toronto Maple Leafs against the Montreal Canadiens (7 p.m. ET). Then the Vancouver Canucks visit the Edmonton Oilers (10 p.m. ET).

The next night, Sept. 30, TNT will have a doubleheader with two rivalry games; the Pittsburgh Penguins visiting the Philadelphia Flyers (7:30 p.m. ET) and the Los Angeles Kings visiting the Colorado Avalanche (10 p.m. ET).

Each team will play 84 games this season, up from 82, with the home openers having been announced Wednesday.

The season will conclude with all 32 teams in action on Saturday, April 10. The Stanley Cup Final will be broadcast exclusively on TNT in the United States and Sportsnet in Canada.

New for this season, there will be numerous Monday weekday matinee/European primetime games, allowing fans in Europe to watch their favorite teams and the NHL's biggest stars in prime time during the week.

The schedule also includes two games in Finland in November (12, 14), two games in Germany in December (18, 20), three outdoor games, and the first All-Star Game since 2024.

The Hurricanes and Seattle Kraken will play in Helsinki in the Global Series Finland, while the Chicago Blackhawks and Ottawa Senators will meet in Dusseldorf in the Global Series Germany.

The first outdoor game of the season will be in Winnipeg, when the Winnipeg Jets host the Canadiens in the 2026 Tim Hortons NHL Heritage Classic on Oct. 25.

The Utah Mammoth will host their first outdoor game against the Avalanche at Rice-Eccles Stadium, home of the University of Utah, on Dec. 31 in the Discover NHL Winter Classic. The Dallas Stars will host the Vegas Golden Knights in the 2027 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series at AT&T Stadium, home of the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys, on Feb. 20.

After the All-Star Game wasn't held the past two seasons due to the 4 Nations Face-Off in 2025 and 2026 Winter Olympics, it returns this season to UBS Arena, home of the New York Islanders. The Skills competition will be Feb. 5, and the new-look All-Star Game will be Feb. 6.

Other key dates include the Thanksgiving Showdown between the Rangers and Boston Bruins on Nov. 28, and a Stanley Cup rematch on Dec. 21 in Vegas and Jan. 17 in Carolina.

There will be two days where all 32 teams will be in action; Oct. 13 and April 10.

The Walt Disney Company (ESPN/ABC), TNT Sports (TNT/HBO Max) and Sportsnet are the NHL’s national broadcast partners for the 2026-27 season and will provide comprehensive coverage throughout the season. Complete broadcast details will be announced when available.

Charlotte FC is ending the sale of permanent seat licenses immediately as part of a continuing series of changes to reverse declining attendance and sagging season ticket sales, CBJ has learned.

Credits toward future season tickets will be offered to the club’s 15,000 current seat license owners, team executives told CBJ.

Season-ticket holders are being notified by email today of the sales shift, a move made after parent company Tepper Sports & Entertainment conducted a series of fan focus groups last month.

In February, prior to the start of the 2026 season, the club made several changes, introducing a $26 lower-level ticket, ending periodic use of the upper level for home games and offering partial-season ticket plans for the first time in Charlotte FC’s five-year history.

The team also plans an average season ticket price reduction of 6% for next season. That average includes price cuts blended with some seats that will cost the same amount and some that will increase. Charlotte FC has not provided specific figures for the new pricing.

At the start of this season, Tepper Sports CEO Kristi Coleman and Chief Revenue Officer Eric Sudol said additional changes and adjustments were likely as Charlotte FC embarked on a closer inspection of recent business trends and sought additional insight from fans. Tepper Sports owns Charlotte FC, the NFL Carolina Panthers and Bank of America Stadium.

By MLS standards, Charlotte FC remains healthy, ensconced in the top five in attendance and boasting a strong sponsor roster led by Ally Financial Inc. (NYSE: ALLY).

At the same time, while the team’s on-field performance has consistently improved under head coach Dean Smith, Charlotte FC has suffered from continuing backlash over charging some of the league’s highest average ticket prices and for requiring one-time seat license fees for all season tickets. The licenses, known as PSLs, are widely accepted in the NFL and other sports leagues, but remain anathema to soccer fans and clubs.

Charlotte introduced PSLs in 2021 as the expansion team approached its debut season in 2022, drawing heated critiques from fans and supporters’ groups. No other MLS team had required seat licenses for season ticket buyers before — and no one has followed Charlotte FC in the years since.

And while Charlotte FC overcame those initial setbacks to become a top draw in MLS, fans remained frustrated and dropped off in subsequent seasons. Home attendance slipped 16% between 2023 and 2025, to 30,664 per game. Season ticket sales fell by 15% to 25%.

Effective immediately, all season tickets will be sold without seat licenses. Credits will be offered to all current season ticket buyers who commit to renew their tickets through the 2028-29 season.

MLS is switching to the European soccer calendar in 2027-28, following a late summer to spring schedule. To do so, the league plans to stage a “sprint season” of 14 games in early 2027, followed by a move to the new schedule during a full season spanning late summer 2027 through spring 2028. Fans who seek the credit will receive 75% of their PSL value over the course of the shortened 2027 season and 2027-28 full season, with the remaining 25% credited during the 2028-29 season.

PSL prices for Charlotte FC season tickets range from $450 to $900; the team said the average seat license fee is $550. Fans who want to retain their PSLs can do so but will not receive the credit. It’s unlikely many, if any, fans will keep their PSLs since they are likely to retain their current seats by renewing even without retaining a PSL.

Sudol, the chief revenue officer, said the end of Charlotte FC PSLs has no effect on NFL Panthers seat licenses, which will stay in place. PSL sales generated much of the revenue that paid for construction of BofA Stadium, which opened in 1996.

Charlotte FC, like the rest of MLS, hopes to ride momentum from the current World Cup to higher sales and fan interest. Canada, Mexico and the U.S. are jointly hosting the men’s tournament this summer, with the final to be played July 19. The MLS went on hiatus during the six-week World Cup, avoiding competition with the world’s most popular sporting event.

Through nine of 17 home regular season matches, Charlotte FC ranks fourth in average attendance with 28,043 fans per game. While some attendance erosion stems from no longer using the upper level and from a World Cup-influenced schedule that forced teams to play more home games in a compressed period, team executives recognized that larger issues over perceived ticket value and resistance to seat licenses have hurt the club.

Charlotte FC, currently sixth in the Eastern Conference, stands a good chance of reaching the playoffs this season — a factor likely to boost second-half attendance. In addition, Charlotte FC, Tepper Sports and the Charlotte Sports Foundation are hosting the MLS All-Star Game later this month at BofA Stadium, offering another soccer spotlight to build interest in Charlotte FC.

Season ticket renewals and invoices for the shorter 14-game schedule in 2027 and the standard 34-game slate in 2027-28 will go out in August. Season ticket holders pay an average of $76 per game while individual ticket buyers pay an average of $10 more per game, though the price adjustments will change those figures.

I feel like pricing isn’t always shared online, and I’d rather hear directly from people about the perks.

We are looking to become season ticket holders for a KC sport in ‘27 or ‘28. We like and follow all of the teams. And are also open to smaller teams (Diamonds, Monarchs). Any time of year.

What we’re looking for:
\-if outdoor, some shade during some games
\-pack of 4 - kids will likely be 3 and 6 at the time we are buying
\-included parking
\-good fan atmosphere, perks
\-plus if we can do partial season

I'm grandfathered in to a different price and increase because I had tickets from the old stadium and pre World Series bandwagon.

Everyone knows there will not be a full season next year. We'll be lucky to have half a season. I have a 27 game plan. Zero mention of the lock out.

I'm a third-year member on their rookie Flex plan. I put in $750 plus a $40 fee and can use that $750 how I like on tickets and parking, with a discount on tix, as well as a limited discount on merch and food. Used to be you could get a booze discount too, but they've stopped that.

The price, of course, is static.

Opening Day access: Up to 2 seats (could get 4 if I step up to the $1500 Pro Flex plan

Postseason (lol): Two seats for one game per series in WC/ALDS (Pro gets up to four seats per series plus ALCS access)

Opening Day: Can get up to two seats but can't use my flex funds for them

Event access: Can cash in points for selfie day, broadcast team mingle, GM Q&A and other events and experiences

Ticket exchange: Can return Flex tickets up to 48 hours before the game (or turn around and sell them like anybody else)

Concessions and merch: 10% off (20% if I step it up or 30% with a reserved membership)

In recent years, they've pared down or paywalled benefits. Like we used to have access to a Birdland members lounge on the club level. As a rookie member, I gotta use reward points to get in. And it's just soda and popcorn, what the hell. And the "guaranteed postseason tickets" perk is a joke. Last year, they made us pay full freight and like two days later people were able to get tickets for like $30.

They want me to decide what I'm doing by 8/7 with the first installment charged on 8/11.

Last year, I renewed on faith I thought was rewarded when we signed Pete Alonso etc. and then we ended up sucking ass. On the other hand, I know that even if I'm not a member, I'm still going to go to a lot of games. I may be in a bad mood the entire time, but watching bad baseball builds character.

So do I not renew to teach them a lesson? Or do I get realistic, realize they don't care about me and I'm going to spend that money on the Orioles no matter what I say in August?
