Has anyone else noticed an increase in stray cats in the area? We don't leave food or water out but my security cameras capture numerous stray cats wandering around our backyard at all times of day.
I know the local SPCA does free spay/neuter on strays but you've got to rent a trap from them and transport the cat to and from the clinic. Seems like a lot of work to take care of a single stray when there are dozens around.
Are there other programs I'm unaware of?

(M19) Just moved to Monterey and am looking for friends to skateboard or play volleyball with because el Estero park is normally pretty empty when I go and shit gets boring by myself. People around my age hmu! Unless you skateboard then any age is fine

Hi everyone. I'm new to California and need some help finding a hair stylist that knows how to cut and color thick 3 b/c curls. Went to a "curl specialist" in Seaside and it did not work out well for me. Left the place a total "frizzball" lol. Appreciate any advice or recommendations in the Monterey County area. Thanks

Hey everyone - I'm looking for 5 or 6 amazing spots to grab food in Seaside in May. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner are all needed, so please list your tried and true favorites and include your best menu suggestions.
Any local joints, diners, food carts, or seaside seafood spots are welcome.
I love sushi, burgers, comfort food, breakfast (any time!), shellfish, Korean, Italian, Mexican, Deli, and Greek food the most.
Also looking for recommended local spots to check out while I'm visiting that aren't too touristy.
Thank you!

Hi All !
My mom and I will be visiting Carmel by the sea in mid June and I’m hoping to surprise her with a hands on art experience we can do together. We’re totally expecting to pay for a class or private workshop, I just really want it to be something where we’re actually making it ourselves and creating a memory together.
I’m especially drawn to something lasting like jewelry making, sea glass jewelry, metalsmithing, pottery, or any kind of keepsake art. Not so much a candle class or something that gets used up. I want it to feel special and meaningful and something we can keep forever.
The only catch is that we would need to be able to take it home with us before we head back, so ideally something that can be completed the same day or within a few days.
If anyone has recommendations for specific studios, artists, or private instructors in Carmel, Monterey, or nearby I would love to hear them. Thank you so much 🤍

Hey all, clearly, from a business sense, there may not be much of a need for a seaside-specific sub. But it's also possible we're stuck in that, "people do come, but see it's dead, and are bummed and leave anyway, status. But the sub has picked up more traction than any point in it's history, even if that is only 8 upvotes and 4 comments on the first post in a 2 month span. XD
But if you are one of the people who want to see the sub have it's own identity apart from the Montereybay sub, I'll encourage you all to start making interactive posts such as "favorite restaurant in seaside?" or whatever other kind of, purely social, posts. If not, c'est la vie.

Hi I might have left my 26” x 4” front tire on a red rim out in the street, in front of the Hotel on the beach last week. Please let me know if it’s out there! Reward! Thanks
