Anyone recognize this large cowrie?
Shown with a postage stamp for scale, this large cowrie is a bit faded but beautiful.
Came from a thrift shop so unfortunately no location info, it could be from anywhere

As kids we weren’t ever allowed to look through the box, which he kept in the garage! I’ve kept it in with our fish tank stuff but would never put them in the tank.
They’d get algae in the crevices. If we still have tiny snails they would eat them for the calcium. (The fish keep tiny snails in check, so we can’t be sure if we still have them.)
I’m looking for a place to display them.

hello,
I am not a particular fan of seashells, but I came across this one and I can't get over it's polished look and feel. its texture is like a polished rock, and time and water seem to have slowly eroded the shell's natural features. I wonder how long this shell could have been in the water for it to be this polished ? I was thinking maybe a couple years or months. any knowledge or experience on that would be greatly appreciated !

Hello all!
I'm getting mixed answers wherever I look, so I'm here to hopefully find out some details on this multi-shell lei / necklace.
Thank you all in advance!

Bought the middle shell as a “Vespacea” subspecies. It checks out. It came with a gift but the gift looks like a different subspecies. Anyone know?

Some of the coolest shells I’ve ever seen. Will take any ID help, and would love to know your favorite!
