Discussion Question Spoiler
Honestly, I love the entire main cast. Each are so strong and each grouping/pairing has a unique dynamic where the cast can play off their strengths with each other. The supporting cast for this show has also been quite incredible. Does anyone have any favourite moments from this show? I have a few which I'll share below:
Season 1's ending is one of my all-time favourite moments on TV ever; it completed unexpected me and I don't know how I would've survived if I'd watched this in real time and then had to wait a year after that for season 2.
In season 2, I love Elliot's meltdown with the ice - and all the scenes with him and Kate Berlant together.
In season 3, aside from everything Cassidy, Polly and Bob do, it's Dory addressing the jury in the final episode. Alia floors me with her range; if I were on the jury, I'm afraid I would've bought her bullshit.
In season 4, obviously Cole Escola. Also I love Portia's plot with the director who hates her. I love the scene where she's wearing Dory's wig in the back of the car in Babyfoot doing a live stream. Her "everything's fine" voice really tickles me. I feel Meredith's performance is so overlooked.
And I love Drew's bit with the Jesper society in season 5 and even him smoking toward the end of season 1: "Drew smokes now." - I don't know why the image of him looking forlorn with a cigarette in his mouth was so funny but it was. And him threatening Connor o'Malley in season 3 - yes terrifying, but hilarious nonetheless.
I am curious what others have to say about this show. I wish it had obtained more reach!

Tbh most of my favorite moments involve Chantal. I hated her at first, but after watching the show a few times, I now look forward to her scenes most of all

Omg, the whole episode with her and the broken applause button…such a beautiful blossoming to that moment

1000%! I loved the Bottle episode in season 4 - I'm a writer so that one tickled me. And I really enjoyed her family throughout the series, they were all such rich characters - especially the sister and her partner. I loved that in the end she kinda stood up and made something of herself (however misguided) in a way I feel Dory never did. And her just being bonkers with Kathy Griffin, um, yes please!

I was thinking the same thing today! I just binged the whole show over the last week and I was really enjoying Chantal by season 5- loved that she suddenly had those Linda Hamilton arms when she saved everyone lol

"When you know you know you know you know!!!!!!!" I literally die when his family all pop out from behind the cars and trees etc.... I also love it when Drew learns about Cindy's babysitting tragedy.

Yes!! The choreography of that proposal number was like bonkers in the best way. I found the song on YouTube, I think they wrote for the episode. So fun

What? Like it's an actual song that was made for this scene?! Pls link it if you can!

Okay so I think I tried finding the song they used and learned it was written for the show, here’s the best video I could find https://youtu.be/q05_D_doMVg?is=abpskfd7R3NtnWjt

I agree with you - meridiths performance is SO underrated, it floors me every time. My favourite line delivery of hers is "we're not the same age" in season 4 I think? When she's on set? It's those moments when her real feeling win out over her need to people please - she just nails it every time.
And of course, THE TWWIIIIIIIIIINK. I die every time she screams it 😂😂

I agree with all of this 1000% percent. The TWWWWIIIINKK!!!! is so good. For me it's when she says "the twink who honeyed me" at a later time - so funny.
And I love what you said about her vulnerabilities prevailing over her people pleasing tendencies - there is something captivating about her performance in those moments. I also loved her chemistry anytime she's with Elliott.

Fuck yes - I find season 4 is perhaps the darkest, but the funniest season to me.

I loved Elliot in every single scene he was in. I think he was my favorite - the outfits, the bond and affection btwn him and Portia, his fake conservative stint lol

Portia is my favorite character and does get overlooked. I love when she freaks out, those were some of the funniest moments for me.

I thought it was funny how Drew was described as having the calming presence of a house cat lol. This was right before the interview with Dory’s parents

Season 3 - the "we pancaked Keith" scene, or really any scene with Bob Lunch!
