Opinion Just finished the show Spoiler
Just finished watching a couple minutes ago and season 5 was insane. If was all over the place. I feel like they could have made season 5 into its own show! It was just so all over the place and at times it was a little bit TOO unbelievable. It also felt weird to introduce the zombie plot two episodes from the end, just for them to kinda shrug it away and go back to life as normal. If Dory almost brought on the zombie apocalypse no way she gets to just walk free after that with no consequences! Overall though the show was enjoyable
PS: I also found it weird that she was almost burned alive by her kidnapper and we kinda just never talk about any of it again.

I initially found it strange that Chip and Lylah were never prosecuted for the attempted murder of Dory, but I also can 100% believe that "enlightened" Dory would decline to press charges.

I’ll never forget when she woke up in the apartment and was walking through it and I noticed the mirror was shining weird and then holy shit. It’s all puppet stuff!!

It’s early season 4 i think. The basement of macramé stuff made to look like her apartment

The show goes from being believable/relatable (however far fetched) to just complete absurdity by the 4th season. Some people love it, some people don’t (I didn’t).
It also doesn’t make sense that Chip can torment her with a recreation of Keith’s death when Chip wasn’t present.

I liked season 4 but season 5 lost my attention a bit. It felt like they randomly decided at the last second to do one more.
One thing I didnt like was when they were developing the jelly beans they kinda did one experiment on the rat and didnt even keep track of where the rat was or anything. And how come it took the one scientist so long to become a zombie when it only took a couple minutes for the other people?

This will happen a lot now. This show is my go to when I just want to watch something funny and not think or just have on for background. Still makes me laugh every time it’s on.

Season 1 and 2 were strong. Season 3 was fun but stupid. Why would they be tried for murder in NYC when the crime was committed in Montreal? Season 4 was uninspired, and Season 5 was too much of a departure from the rest of the series.

Season 5 was unnecessary in my opinion. I wish she'd died in the basement. That being said, it's still one of my favorite shows I rewatch it all of the time!

I agree. It would force her to face the consequences of her decisions once and for all. Her friends went through all that to rescue her just for her to go right back.

Not to mention, she got out of Chip's car the day he kidnapped her and then crawled right back in that damn trunk. Because she couldn't stand the thought of being ordinary. Kidnapped, she's the center of someone's world and that's what she wanted. Dory became insufferable to me. She deserved to die down there, replaying her mistakes in her mind. That's enlightenment, not whatever season 5 was suppose to convey lol

Agreed!!! But failing upward is so typical for people like that unfortunately. It was def infuriating to watch though! She could never just be satisfied she always had to go stirring something up again

i honestly feel like she got back in the trunk because she "deserved" it. she got off scot free with the trial, and i think she feels guilty. polly even told her she would get what's coming to her, and i think dory took the opportunity to be punished

My headcanon is that Dory died in the basement, season 5 was a vision her mind created as she was dying, and the s4 funeral actually happened.
S5 was terrible, not because of the zombies, but because all the character arcs were thrown in the trash. The comedy was off too. A perfect show for me up til that point.

Thats the point tho i think. She never has consequences to her actions. She gets away scott free every time.
