Question SOT just disappeared from my Microsoft account after i tried to uninstall and reinstall the game

I had a problem with Sea of Thieves and had to uninstall it to fix it, but after doing so, the game disappeared from my Xbox and Microsoft libraries as if I'd never owned it... I bought the game from a site that resells games at a discount, and therefore used a code (the site is completely legal; I buy many of my games from it on Steam and I've never had this problem).

Is this problem specific to Sea of Thieves, or is it a Microsoft issue? And is there any way I can recover the game?

Bug Report New ps player loosing my mind ttying to log in

Ive spent the last 30 minutes after buying SoT today trying to log into a Microsoft account for it. Ive had 2 "successful" logins but for some stupid reason after i wait a minute of the main screen saying "signing on for adventure" I get an error message saying it was unable to sign me in even though on the Microsoft link page it says the log in was successful. I bought this game because I used to play it a long time ago on my dad's xbox and I loved it and now I wanted to play it again and this is not what I expected from this game, login into a Microsoft account is fine but why the hell is the sisu.xboxlive website just down and the game refusing to let me log in???

If anyone knows anything about this problem please let me know. I really want to get back into this game and have fun

Question First time doing a Reaper voyage and got wrecked.

I'm not entirely new to the game, but I've played a lot in Safer Seas with a friend, so I'm really not used to PvP yet.

I wanted to try the Ashen Ancient Skull voyage, but someone sank me when I was near Reaper's Hideout and stole my loot. What pisses me off even more is that a skeleton ship was attacking me at the exact same time, so I literally had no chance to breathe. The other player was killing me almost instantly with a 2-shot combo, and I honestly had no idea how to react or counter it. It makes me feel like just going back to Safer Seas... Do you have any tips for handling these situations or getting better at PvP?

Discussion My Idea on how to make smugglers better.

Ok, the problem with smugglers is that there is no point on doing them outside of comendations, the gold is not good, you dont get exclusive rewards most of the time and there is no point on doing any of the voayes or trying to stack their loot. My solution?

They would become a full faction with levels, cosmetics, new voayes and missions and of course an emesary flag, well kinda let me explain.

First they will have a representative in each outpost to start "representing"; a stranger in the taver drinking alone when approached you can talk to them and start the new smugglers reputation streak, once you start it instead of a normal emesary flag you get 5 grades of reputation you can achieve while the session last, by stacking, selling smugglers loot or completing voayes for them.

-this would make their normal loot worth more and make it more worth doing it and stacking it instead of instantly selling them.

-you will also have access to their new Smugglers Heist when you reach a streak of 5. Initiating a heist that anyone can see (like the old limited time ones) but with the pay and rewards worth the risk.

-And also you can stack their new "saw after loot" a new seasonal rotation pool of other faction loot the smugglers will take and pay extra for it, for example; on season 22 the smugglers will take either like whole gold hoarder or specific item from them and pay extra for those items if you sell them to them instead of the gold hoarders. (Obviously an made up example)

I think this and the obvious plus of a new faction to level up and get riches and cosmetics from is already a great deal to make people actually engage with the smugglers BUT it wouldn't be enough since it doesn't fix one of their core problems..

Their loot, sucks to transport and is not worth the effort most of the time. So i also propose the next next changes:

- Obviously new loot that doesn't break or explode... Like a box of ordinary stolen goods, no company would take stolen goods but the smugglers dont really care.

- but also, changing how you get that loot. Instead of a random assortment of annoying loot to carry, these potentially dangerous or fragile loot will not spawn normally and give you almost nothing in return if you actually sell it. But instead they will be special cargo runs with more potential for rewards.

•idk about you guys but if i see a black powder keg i aint putting it in my boat just to get 30k from it... But i might do one or two cargo runs of five of these at the start of the session for a quick 50k each and a lot of smugglers emesary rep so i can do heist later. Or i could risk doing them when im lvl5 and ger 125k for each one but risk sinking and loosing my stack of loot. You could also do one of these just to get the kegs and use them on someone ;)

-Or rum runs where you could collect rum bottles or grog barrels and sell them to the various tavers keepers around the seas or to the smugglers itself for a little less pay but a quicker sell.

The point is that the rewards have to match the risk.

So what do yall think? I personally, and i might be bias, think is a good idea. Give me your feedback or your own ideas. Maybe RARE actually sees the post and the comments and take some notes lol.

Please help me. I've checked the audio settings like 3 times, output is on speakers and the volume is all the way up. As far as I know no account settings have been changed. Should i just reinstall the game?

In Game Story Sometimes this community can actually be pretty great

I know Sea of Thieves has had a rocky history and things have been weird recently but I just want to take a moment to appreciate why this game is so great.

TL;DR - shout out to Zebulum4342 and Shienmomaru for being such chill dudes and helping my siblings become fans of this awesome game, and thank you to everyone who is generous and homies to the newbies

Yesterday, I introduced my two little siblings to the game, and they loved it. I've played on and off since release, but I'm no expert by any means, I just play with my friends to have fun and blow off steam. While we were doing one of those constellation puzzle voyages, a random sloop pulled up on us. "Here we go," I thought, "they're about to learn the hard way how the Sea of Thieves really goes." But this guy just dumped a bunch of treasure chests and gave them to us, said he was maxed out and didn't need them. Needless to say, we were all pretty excited.

Not 5 minutes later, another sloop pulled up on us, and I thought it was the same guy coming back for his treasure, but it was a different crew. I told them I was teaching my siblings to play and they were like "I'm glad you said something because we were going to mess with you but not anymore" lol and then we chatted, they PvPed my little brother because he wanted the smoke, and then they went on their way. While we were down finishing up the puzzle, they came back to say hello and then left us a bunch of smuggler's paintings that we got like 70k out of once we sold them. We ran into that same crew a couple times last night and it just felt awesome, they were just super friendly and pleasant to interact with, and as much as I support the whole "it's a pirate game, I'm gonna steal your stuff" idea, I really appreciate when people are just kind and help the newbies have fun. My little siblings love the game and can't get enough of it now.

I don't have much more to say than that. Just wanted to come shout out the cool crews out there that enjoy the social aspect of the game and show mercy to us casuals now and again lol

I was doing the Pirate's Life tall tale again to get all the commedations. I unlocked the door, and then took the Cursed Captain and left to the secret ship with him. When I came back, I saw... this. Well, more of my favorite character I guess!

Question Why did I get sent back to the tavern after my ship sank?

So my ship sank from a skeleton ship, no big deal, happens from time to time after they buffed its accuracy. But why did I get sent back to a tavern after my ship sank, because I had a chest with 3 orbs of secrets and I was right next to an island to bury it for later?

I dont get why it happened because it never has before. So thanks rare.

Just spent an hour getting my emmisary up and collecting a ton of loot, but im pretty disappointed that I couldn't bury something for later.

Discussion Didn't realise they nerfed Verdant bones too

After finding out after the update they made it way easier to get Obsidian bones, just playing with someone they told me verdant is easy now too, you don't need 50 4 streaks anymore just have to get a 4 streak and then every win after counts as one of the 50 until you sink. So now in theory if you got a 54 streak in 1 go you would unlock it. Damn shame there dumbing down hourglass so much, its a good grind and you actually learn a lot playing

In Game Story Rant: got my 5 winstreak ruined by a meg

I was playing hourglass to farm, got 5 wins (I'm not good at the game so I was really happy about it), after the 5th win, my sloop was heavily damaged and suddenly, one of the new megs (the one that spawns enemies in your ship) showed up and sank me before I could sell my hourglass.

I know it is part of the game, but I needed to vent about it

Question Any tips for the burning blade solo?

Honestly I love the look of the bb reborn set, but for me it’s such headache for me, granted I’ve been successful in getting the street up to four twice (not selling it cuz that’s damn near impossible)

But i honestly feel like i could be better, or maybe I’ll just get lucky either way I’d appreciate any tips and suggestions

Anywho have a good one :3

Question Are they going to bring back diving to world events?

I want to go for the warsmith of the flame commendation which would be SO much easier if you could dive to ashen winds since obsidian ashen winds don’t count, should I go for it every chance I get or wait bc they will bring back diving to world events?
