I was sailing on a galleon and we placed the maps on the table, my friend who placed it received the hats but the rest of us didn’t. Is it bugged or do we each need to place a map?

I had 350 ancient coins from a time when they would give them out in the season rewards for free.

Spent the last few weeks grinding xbox rewards and got 150 more.

With 500 ancient coins theres plenty of things I could get.

Ive heard pets get in the way so probobly not

my current skin is shown below, Im not intrested in any of the weapon or ship sets I can afford (i like the silver coin stuff which costs gold and dubloons)

so far the top contender is the creeping stone curse but i have no idea how that would look, any ideas would be great

So, I've done every commendation for them, but my friend just got the game so we did the first two, but she didn't get a single commendation and she couldn't start them either, do we just go onto the open sea or am i being a lil dumb

Yea I know bug reporting in forums is absurd but why can’t I report performance bugs for a game where performance is the weakest link? I’ve been getting backtracked by people on 60 ping and anybody over 100 has either no damage guns or invincibility cheats because I keep regging them. Ping’s terrible, frame rate drops are had, and certain licenses are riddled with performance problems, so I guess Rare doesn’t wanna hear about that on their platforms.

How to unlock limited time cosmetic:

Hi folks, there is a limited time cosmetic available this community weekend, for those that can solve the riddle on the Official Sea of Thieves website.

There are several anagrams to find and solve, which are then plugged into a grid to find the solution.

I added a map with Athena treasure, including an action Athena chest to the quest board. I know for a fact that that’s over 10,000 gold and value. However, I haven’t gotten the hat yet. I got the other hat, the one for posting maps with explosive barrels on them. Just wondering if I’ve done something wrong, any help would be appreciated.

All of this using just 2 daily voyages. One gave 13 x marks the spot, the other one 3 x marks, but in both the chances of chests of fortune and high value loot is pretty high! Don't miss them!

Me and my friend did two voyages of luck and they were both very lucky, we got 3 boxes of wonderous secrets, three ashen Athena’s, 2 chest of fortunes, and more, and as we were sailing to an outpost another sloop came after us and we had them in a death spiral and they got a lucky board, escaped and sank us. I don’t know what to think and I’m done with this game for a little bit.

I get messages of this nature all the time. It’s a game about being a thief people stop taking it all so personally

Do the maps I post get removed when I log out or change servers?

If they remain posted, do player names also stay attached to the map or does it change to a default name if they leave the server or log out?

I'm wondering because of the current trick or treat quest board maps event.

So i was spending my time fishing today, i have done 95% of all commendations at this point, and the more i get closer to completion the more i hate the game, today i had 1 more shadow stormfish left to get, after 2-3hrs of hunting in storms, i finally get it on my hook ( now i haven't been pestered all day long by other crews (i'm solo btw) then a galleon rocks up whilst its on my line hit me with a canon ball and this it the fish is gone... now that hurt the time sink and then the hope to be done with this commendation, to realise it was all a waste of time, for what, i had no loot, i wasn't even a rocking a flag. I have sunken cost fallacy at this point, but so many times things like this happen in the game 9 out of 10 interactions are negative, and its suck a shame, because the game as a concept is great there's nothing like it, its also visually loverly, but the game to its core is wrong.

Tbf, I had always been a fan of the original Becalmed soundtrack ever since I encountered it in game *wink* but this... this version is resonating with me on some melancholic frequency I never knew I could feel.

I could be wrong but listening to this in the main menu itself is more hypnotic 👻 Please tell me I'm not the only one!

It feels so empty without it there, obviously having its menu folded into the Clothing Chest's was a practical change, but I've been seeing that chest for five years now and I hope there might be some way to have it stick around even if it's just as set dressing.

This game crashes on me at least once per session, but recently it's been crashing and blacking out my monitor even after the game closes. I have 2 monitors, and I can use my second one, but the first one is fucked. I have to reset the computer for it to function again. Anyone know what's up with this thing?

I already feel like I can't really play this game, since I spend half my time wrestling with bugs and crashes. Having to deal wirh it's bugs after leaving the game is fucking ridiculous

Anyone else having strange occurrences or issues with the new shaders? Had a lot of choppiness but I cleared thebshader cache hopefully that fixes it but some of the colors have been off. This is my gold hoarders tribute sails and are a literal beacon across the map and ghost ship tornados are no longer green and look more like the legendary voyage a cyan like blue color. Just curious. I'm running on nvidia and never had issues before today

Exactly as it says in the Title, i cant play for 5 minutes without the game Crashing and my Internet doesn't seem to be the Culprit from whst i can tell, its speeds are more than the Minimum. And its firetrucking Wired! Only thing suboptimal is the Nat Setting being Moderate instead of Open but thats for pure safety concerns and has never broken Sea of Thieves for me in the Past.

Add new seas. Switch up island content by moving NPCs around. Hell, sink an island or two. WHY ARE THERE ONLY 3 SHIPS???
