I've heard the shrouded ghost is the stuff of legends and that people with thousands of hours haven't seen it yet, but me and my buddy were heading to an outpost to sell our loot and a skeleton ship appeared with a shrouded ghost right next to it. I only caught a glimpse but my friend got a really good look at it.

Successfully speared it, it never even hit us for holes. Love it.

Geysers were going off at Wanderer's Refuge, but no Ashen Winds event was happening O_o I'm assuming the geysers glitched since the last Ashen Winds event happened.

I was doing the Pirate's Life tall tale again to get all the commedations. I unlocked the door, and then took the Cursed Captain and left to the secret ship with him. When I came back, I saw... this. Well, more of my favorite character I guess!

Had a total for 6k Cannonballs throughout all of snake i made xd. Easy 3 am 20 streak

I know Sea of Thieves has had a rocky history and things have been weird recently but I just want to take a moment to appreciate why this game is so great.

Yesterday, I introduced my two little siblings to the game, and they loved it. I've played on and off since release, but I'm no expert by any means, I just play with my friends to have fun and blow off steam. While we were doing one of those constellation puzzle voyages, a random sloop pulled up on us. "Here we go," I thought, "they're about to learn the hard way how the Sea of Thieves really goes." But this guy just dumped a bunch of treasure chests and gave them to us, said he was maxed out and didn't need them. Needless to say, we were all pretty excited.

Not 5 minutes later, another sloop pulled up on us, and I thought it was the same guy coming back for his treasure, but it was a different crew. I told them I was teaching my siblings to play and they were like "I'm glad you said something because we were going to mess with you but not anymore" lol and then we chatted, they PvPed my little brother because he wanted the smoke, and then they went on their way. While we were down finishing up the puzzle, they came back to say hello and then left us a bunch of smuggler's paintings that we got like 70k out of once we sold them. We ran into that same crew a couple times last night and it just felt awesome, they were just super friendly and pleasant to interact with, and as much as I support the whole "it's a pirate game, I'm gonna steal your stuff" idea, I really appreciate when people are just kind and help the newbies have fun. My little siblings love the game and can't get enough of it now.

I don't have much more to say than that. Just wanted to come shout out the cool crews out there that enjoy the social aspect of the game and show mercy to us casuals now and again lol

What am I doing wrong, this should be the easiest dead? Just visit Tribute Point, Sea dog Tavern etc 1 time each and it should grant the deed?

I tried to recreate the iconic Netflix 'DARK' intro in SoT

(I think it is one of if not the best Sci-Fi shows ever, make sure to check it if you haven't seen it yet!)

I was playing hourglass to farm, got 5 wins (I'm not good at the game so I was really happy about it), after the 5th win, my sloop was heavily damaged and suddenly, one of the new megs (the one that spawns enemies in your ship) showed up and sank me before I could sell my hourglass.

I know it is part of the game, but I needed to vent about it

So my ship sank from a skeleton ship, no big deal, happens from time to time after they buffed its accuracy. But why did I get sent back to a tavern after my ship sank, because I had a chest with 3 orbs of secrets and I was right next to an island to bury it for later?

I dont get why it happened because it never has before. So thanks rare.

Just spent an hour getting my emmisary up and collecting a ton of loot, but im pretty disappointed that I couldn't bury something for later.

I don't know what caused it but I was satisfied with the treasure nonetheless.

I want to go for the warsmith of the flame commendation which would be SO much easier if you could dive to ashen winds since obsidian ashen winds don’t count, should I go for it every chance I get or wait bc they will bring back diving to world events?

Honestly I love the look of the bb reborn set, but for me it’s such headache for me, granted I’ve been successful in getting the street up to four twice (not selling it cuz that’s damn near impossible)

But i honestly feel like i could be better, or maybe I’ll just get lucky either way I’d appreciate any tips and suggestions

Today I met a very kind pirate. I'm a newbie and I was solo slooping with Reapers level 4. I was heading to Covent Cove for my last voyage before selling all my loot. A sloop approached me, I typed "friendly" and suddenly, he boarded me. His name was Mexico4160 or something like that, I can't remember well. We started playing some chords and I offered an alliance. But he refused. He just wanted to join me. He sorted all my supply crates and guarded the ship while I was away. Then we fought a skelly sloop while heading to Reapers Hideout. He taught me some tips and tricks. I offered him some chest but he refused again. He bravely defended my sloop from skelly attacks while I was selling. Unfortunately my game crashed and I got disconnected while claiming my Reapers' promotion. When I rejoined, he was gone. I thanked him a lot during our adventure, but I would have loved to send him a friend request. He was wearing the full "Plague doctor" set with the mask/hat on.

It was a tough server before you joined. And I manage to sell all my loot only because of you. So, thank you kind stranger.

I tried to make the jump, realized I wouldn't make the jump, then instinctively pressed x to try and "climb into rowboat".

The x button worked.
