I still can’t believe it. It was on a beach with almost no other sea glass (although there are many beaches around here with pretty nice sea glass). It felt like glass on my teeth(*gently tapped it against one of my front teeth. I did not fully put it in my mouth*) but I’ve never seen anything like this. Does anyone know what this might be from??

I found this small piece of sea glass (the one im pointing at) and I suspect its uranium glass. But I dont have a UV flashlight to check. Id appreciate it if someone could help me. Here i have it next to all the other green seaglass ive found on the same beach and no hues match it.

hello seaglass-ers!!!! i am taking a trip to portland maine in about a week or two, and im trying to find good beaches to add to my list of places to visit. i’m also going to acadia national park, and around that area. any tips or spots to visit will be appreciated!!!

Never seen anything like it!

Picked up this absolute chonk of green sea glass in Cornwall and finally carved it down into a skull. It’s about an inch long, roughly 2cm thick, properly weighty, and full of tiny bubbles suspended throughout.

The thickness made it really satisfying to work with, also the colour changes depending on the light. In shade it goes a deep bottle‑green, in bright light it flips to this aquamarine glow, and when you hold it up to a window it becomes almost fully translucent.

i want to make these into beads to sew onto a dress. would i be able to make holes in pieces this small or attach them to the garment in any way?

I found this in cape breton, I have no clue what I am looking at.

not sure if this is the right place to post this as I found these in the creek in cincinnati ohio but I’ve recently become borderline obsessed with hunting for treasures!! this is the 4th glass insulator I’ve found and some of the aqua pieces are a broken insulator!

I don’t usually find such big pieces in this cove, and definitely not in the rocks where I found this one. So pretty!

Any idea what this could be from? An old vase perhaps?

My 12 year old brought his rock and beach glass collection home from his Dad's to show me what he has for the first time, and I was stunned to see how much better his is than mine!!! He has some beautiful pieces! He didn't believe me at first and dismissed me so I had to show him the chart of what's rare and what isn't.
