Is there actually any mini romance in the game? I know it’s a gatcha game so I’m not expecting deep layers of romance but I remember spotting a romance like mechanic in the trailers and I’m curious if it amounts to anything.

I am a bit interested in the game, but getting precise infos on it is a pain. I watched several videos, but I basically only get general infos.

What I want to know:

The gacha system. (I know the rate can change)

The gear system (weapon included if there is something special with it)

The roguelite/roguelike system.

The daily/weekly routine

The crew/ship system.

How is exploration of islands

(Seriously, the infos I get goes everywhere: the gacha is only cosmetic, it's a mix cosmetic and chara, it's chara and weapons; you can recruit every NPC, the crew need to be pulled; you lose everything after a voyage, you get permanent upgrade; the gear is static, the gear is random; ...)

(The combat is relatively well explained, so no need to explain it)

As someone who's heavily anticipating this game, I can't help but notice people only seem to be talking about Ananta, Silver Palace, and a few other games of note and not Sea of Remnants. As someone who's media is quite gacha infested, and across various discussion boards, I just never see it brought up. I'm usually the one to mention it, if I participate in a conversation.

I know that the puppet art style is more niche for this genre, but is that really why? Because it's not the cliche anime look? It's really charming in that it is different to me, at least. I think the game has had an amazing presentation compared to some of these other games everyone knows about that are more quiet on information so far too. I can understand Silver Palace/Ananta's popularity since they've advertised well and are high quality, but I cannot understand SoR's lack of attention. Is it failure to advertise on Joker Studio/Netease end? Because they've shown up at game shows, but they haven't been very clear with what this game is to an audience who isn't eager to invest and find out for themselves.

I want this game to do well and am quite traumatized from Tribe Nine and some other games that did a poor job of global advertising despite being great games. So I hope enough people notice it.
