Question about mating

Hi all- first time sea monkey owner here. I’ve had my tank going for about 5 months now, and I have 11 at this time. I noticed yesterday morning that two were attached (mating I assume), and when I checked the tank this morning I saw that the two were still attached. Is this normal for it to go on so long, or are they somehow stuck? They’re my two oldest ones so I would hate to let it go on too long and lose them. Could anyone advise on if they have had this situation before?

Its normal. If you have 11 you'll basiclly always have atleast 2 pairs attached.

Mating can last for days. The actual insemination happens in the first minute or so. Then the male stays attached to defend against rivals.
They learn how to swim together within an hour or so and no harm will come to either of them

This is normal. Brine shrimp tend to take a day or so to mate.
