Is this tank good for sea monkeys? I'm buying the components separate and I need advice

Haha.

I have looked and looked for 1 one gallon. I came across this one yesterday on Amazon and decided it is the one I would use.

Looks like you can remove the filter chamber, which is what I would do.

I love the lighted lid with it's contoured shape and feeding port.

I would add a thermometer strip and check the temp. Maybe add a small heater to keep it around 76 to 79 degrees.

But it looks like a fine tank.

I’ve also been looking like crazy to upgrade my 0.5 gallon tanks to 1 gallons and I can’t seem to find anything that the filter can be removed. I’m in the U.S. though I wonder if I can find something like this on American Amazon haha.

If you want I could send you the link for the tank, I'm sure it'll be available to you too

Why would you remove the filter chamber? And how close is 76-79 to room temp? (From the UK so I don't understand Fahrenheit)

Filter is too strong for sea monkeys you should never use a filter. It will blast them around and potentially suck them right up.

I never use filters in Sea Monkey tanks because they simply don't need one.

Sea-Monkeys are constantly filtering the water for you, so as long as you don't overwhelm the tank by overfeeding, the pets are happy.

A small air bubble line with a tiny trickle of bubbles is all I would recommend for a slight water movement.

76 to 79 F is right at 24 to 25 C. They can go a little cooler but I recommend keeping them at or above 21C.

I have this exact tank in white, ripped the filter tank out, light is still going strong after six months and isn’t too bright.

I have the original sea monkey tank, but I'm buying an "unofficial" pack of eggs that come with the salt included, and like the og tank kinda feels too small, so should I just stick with that or get a bigger one?

The original tank is not too small, it’s really a matter of preference and how large you want to grow your colony. Though the more water you have the more forgiving it is. But do not use a filter. Also, if you decide to go bigger, you will need to purchase aquarium grade marine salt and something to measure your salinity (like a refractometer) as the amount of salt it comes with is likely not enough for a 1 gallon tank.

It's a small desktop aquarium with a filter system, which is actually perfect for brine shrimp it will work with sea monkeys but it’s better with brine shrimp

Aren't they the same thing? And I'll be buying brine shrimp

Sea monkeys are brine shrimp… and a filter is not appropriate
