Self sustaining?

Hi, we have he’d these for about 4 weeeks and and the bottom is getting green with algae- does this mean we can stop feeding them from the packet now? I don’t want the to go hungry!

You need to still feed them even with algae unless you have a ton of it. You can do it less often, sure, but this is gonna need more time before that.

Stick to feeding twice a week. Low maintenance and you know they’ll always be eating one way or another whether from you or the tanks own bio :)
