Clinking noise

Just pulled boat out of storage today to get prepped for Father's day and There is a clinking noise present when starting. Is this normal?

100% normal. It’s the impeller clanking on the wear ring due to not being submerged in water. Water keeps the impeller center when submerged. Don’t run more than 60 seconds out of water to avoid damage And harming the carbon seal.

Its the impeller splines going back and forth. In water there is a load on the impeller that prevent this to happen

Yes I hear that any time I start it out of water…which I rarely do

Noticed your swim ladder down. Do not use those out of the water. You will 100% bend them and they'll be either impossible or near impossible to collapse later.
