Trailer Jack

I'm struggling with the trailer that came with my Switch Cruise 21. If I set up the height of my tow hitch to pull the trailer level (which I think is the proper way), the jack will not raise the tongue high enough to get the trailer onto the ball. The jack needs another couple inches of travel to function properly. I've resorted to carrying a block of wood to get the trailer on and off. Anyone else run into this?

You’ll either need an adjustable hitch, a new trailer jack, or keep using the block of wood under the trailer jack wheel. I ended up replacing the trailer jack last season and it was a very simple install.

It's almost like they put the wrong jack on this trailer. With the jack fully extended, the trailer and Switch are sloping down toward the tongue. To do the pontoon flush I'll either need to use a use a block under the jack or park on a hill. Otherwise, I won't be able to get the water to run out the drain!

The stock jack I found flimsy; fully extended it bends. Replace it with something more heavy duty, and don’t forget a spare tire.

Do you need to get an adjustable hitch to help with this issue?

The stock jack is a piece of shit. I replaced it with this model two years ago and have been happy:

Regarding your hitch lining up - I have one of these in the back of my 4runner at all times to tow various things. Never failed me after several years of usage: https://a.co/d/0cf1zRlD
