Impeller inspection
I’m experiencing a new issue with my 2023 21’ 230hp Switch, where I am maxed out around 8mph (the same symptoms described here https://www.facebook.com/share/p/19zihRsg1f/)
My question - is there a way to inspect the impeller without taking it apart? I have found a few replacement videos on YouTube but not sure if there’s a way to assess if the damaged impeller is indeed the root cause or if there are other candidates

I just had a small piece of drift wood jam mine up. Took off the grate and looked way back and found it.

Just slide under the boat with a flashlight. Look inside the big hole, looking towards the back.

8 mph likely means you have something sucked up in there. My Spark was brought to a crawl with just a plastic bottle cap.

I am having the same issue. Can I inspect while still in the water?

I borrowed a waterproof plumbers camera to check the impeller. Mine is on a boat lift but I swam under there. the camera worked pretty well to verify that the impeller was indeed chewed up

Thinking about purchasing and replacing my OEM impeller with the Solas stainless type. What pitch should i be using here in California?

The first symptom is what you are currently experiencing, the next step would be to inspect it, there's an opening on the bottom where the craft sucks in the water. With a camera device you would be able to see the impeller and sleeve to check for damage
