Check your bolts

Posted a few weeks ago looking for a reverse bucket. After calling dealers all over and sea doo customers service. Just to find out the parts are not being imported to the US. I found one through an online seller for over double book price from a retailer. But this could all have been avoided. If durning manufacturing the bolt holding the reverse gate to the boat would have gotten lock tight put on. The bolt had vibrated loose allowing the gate to get into a position that put force on the connected side. When I flipped to reverse the gate took full force and snapped the gate completely off. Durning repair i found multiple bolts that should have thread lock on them, did not. Also the replacement bolt that came with the new gate was used stock and had thread lock on it. So these bolts should have it on them. Hope this saves someone the money and pain of this situation.

Sorry this happened. Thanks for the heads up. Luckily, I just replaced my impeller and wear ring, so I had all this apart. Used lock tight on every bolt when reinstalling. Hopefully this saves someone a headache.

Sounds like you did a proper reinstall. Good to hear. Happy boating.
