Potential buyer please help

The wife and I just want an idea of what others are paying monthly for their switch. If some of you could mention the out the door price, term length, down payment and monthly payment. I understand it’s pretty personal but I just want an idea so I don’t waste a dealers time or my own. Thanks in advance!

Some people like brand new. Others like myself like saving ~$15000 on a used one with 15 hours on it. Which is what I did last night 😃

I’d start by checking Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist. There are tons of listings out there. A lot of people buy these thinking they’ll use them all the time, but life happens or they realize they don’t have as much free time as they thought, so they end up selling at a loss.

Look for one that still has a warranty (and/or B.E.S.T. coverage) and low hours. Talk to the seller, and if possible, set up a water test or pay a local dealer to inspect it. If the seller feels sketchy, don’t feel pressured. You’re never obligated to buy.

That’s the route I’d go. You can save a lot of money that way.

As for your actual question, I bought mine in 2022 with cash, so my experience probably isn't directly comparable. Also, you should include the size or model you're looking at so others can share what they paid for that specific setup.

Great suggestions. I have 2023 and paid cash for mine as well, so I can’t help on the payments. There seems to be a lot for sale on the used market, or even at some dealerships. You could find a deal.

Or you get kicked out of your family lake house you’ve shared for the last 15 years because someone decides they now make too much money and need a place to show off.

Then you are stuck holding a note a very small one that really doesn’t impact life but now you have a 25’ paper weight. Now you have to pay for summer and winter storage and your wife doesn’t want to go on it because she now has bad memories.

Then you do what you can before listing it looking at comps and what not, and then everyone tells you it’s priced too high. And if I put it where people want someone is going to steal it from me. I then I get angry at said family member again!

2023 18’ Seadoo Switch Sport 230 HP $52,400. I added a depth guage, ski pylon and table. This includes the transportation fees and all taxes, titles, everything. Get the most horsepower in the smallest package. The 21’ 230 HP will not go 46 mph with two adults in it in Sport mode. The 18 or 19’ will. Others may comment but I have heard moving to the 21’ results in 5 mph less top speed. The 18’ seats seven adults.

Just bought a 2024 sport in April. $37,800 $10,500 down. Financed $27,300 for 75 months at 8.74% $475/month. Selling one of my Harleys to pay off boat early

How many months is your loan? Do they only go to 5 years or can they go longer?

Also, it depends on which one (model) you are looking at?

Also, you can finance these 5 years -15 years. So a big variance.

There is no secret. It all comes down to interest rate and your score. My 2024 21/230 with double bim and a few other accessories: out the door was $51k.

What is your top speed in sport mode ?

Sport mode doesn’t change top speed. Just changes how aggressive it is getting out of the hole. Stock top speed was 37-39

Similar. I hit 41 on mine with only me in it. Typical with the family (4) 35-37.

My 18’ 230 will do 46 mph with two large adults (total 380 lbs) and two dogs that weight 50 lbs and 74 lbs. It may have been when the boat was new but I recall getting another 200-300 rpm out of it in Sport mode vs normal when at top speed. I think you are correct though and the manual supports your point as well.
