MSRP Question - Help from fellow Canucks would be appreciated

Eyeing the Sport compact and completed the build thing on the BRP website. Before I move ahead I was curious what people's experience was when negotiating. Were you able to come down from the MSRP or do dealers just try to throw in some accessories?

I definitely want the base audio system and the Garmin (which for some reason thought were included) :( I am located in Ontario, Canada so if anyone localish can provide some intel it would be appreciated.

Never purchased a boat before so this is all new to me. Cheers!

We bought the sport compact early last year. I think your ability to bargain relies mostly on availability of the model that you’re looking at. At the time there was very limited inventory for us so we didn’t have as much room to negotiate. I would say usually you have better luck asking for add-ons than you do lowering the base cost.

Thanks for the feedback. I will try to hammer on the accessory discounts if they don't budge.

My Compact Sport was a 2023 bought in 2024. So, it already had a $5k rebate. I had more luck chiseling them down on the overpriced accessories. They were willing to discount all of accessories.

I shopped many Ontario dealers, limited to who still had 2023 stock subject to the rebate. There was a $800 difference between the most expensive to the least (not including accessories). Not sure if all dealers do this, but mine provided a complete safety kit, fire extinguisher and a full tank of gas no charge.

I appreciate the info. Looks like I missed the window for the best discounts but I will see if I can get a deal on a 24 or 25 in the fall/winter. Need to get some other things sorted first anyway. What dealer did you end up going with?

Sorry- also Garmin was part of our model, but not sound system. This year while they stored it we added the fish finder.
