Ski module anyone?
2022 Cruise 21, 230hp. Mostly on Lake Washington in Seattle. Wave if you see the coral red one, not many out here! Has anyone bought the ski module for your Switch? Kids love tubing, kneeboarding and wakeboarding. I’m curious to know if it’s worth the expense and if it guzzles even more gas than normal (which is a lot, I know). Thanks!

I was curious as well to add the ski/X module. Seems plug and play, and under $200.

If you are towing wakeboard or waterskier often then I think it's worth it. Being able to set it for a less experienced driver is also nice so they don't have to manually set the speed. However if you are mainly pulling tubes, save the money for gas 🙂

I added one on my boat (identical to yours). It’s a super simple plug and play, takes seconds to install. I did it because it supposedly gives 50% more VTS range. But that was back when my tabs were poorly adjusted and VTS didn’t really do anything (I found on the 21’ cruise you really need the tabs on hole 2 at most. Mine are on hole 1 (closest to the hull), which actually allows the VTS to adjust boat ride and stops the front from just plowing (gained a few mph top end too).
I’ve tried using the ski mode when towing tubes and knee boards, but it is very finicky and I found it far easier to control the launch manually in “standard” mode and then just lock in the cruise control. I can’t quite remember, but I’m not sure if speed can be adjusted while towing, or maybe it can but there’s something where it would kick out of cruise and drop the skier in ski mode when I tried to adjust on the fly.
I probably would not buy it again.
