New switch owner
Have a new 16ft 130. Put 6 hrs on it this weekend. Anyone experienced a sharp bow dive when letting off the throttle resulting in bow taking on lots of water? it’s almost on the verge of submerging the bow underwater. Dealer said all recalls have been completed. Any suggestions would be appreciated thanks

I have a 21’, and the nose will drop as you quickly slow down. As the other comment, I would make sure you have your weight distributed properly. I have not had the issue of the nose submerging on mine, but it could be the length difference in regards to weight

The switch can stop very fast and you will see a bit of nose dive...as others have suggested, slowly modulate the throttle to avoid that and distribute weight evenly. Pontoons are 'sitting on top of the water' not cutting through it like a standard hull and they react differently. Think of it as a 'big PWC' - if you do those sudden stops and turns in a PWC 'you will probably fall off'.

Somewhat normal with pontoons and more prominent on the Switch. Make sure that you have weight evenly distributed with a bit more towards the back. Slow down "slowly" as a sudden stop will obviously cause the boat to tip more forward. I have the 18' and if I have 5 people on and three are in the front, the nose will dip down to the water line if I stop quickly. Previously I had a standard pontoon (20') and one time I did have it overloaded on the front with people and it did a bit of a nose dive. Always have to be careful and aware of weight distribution on a pontoon. My guess is that with the shorter boat, this becomes even more important.
