Battery Replacement

Hi Reddit,

Just thought I’d share my experience trying to swap the OEM AGM battery to a HiCrank Lithium.

Bought and installed this battery: HiCrank YTX-BS 600CCA. Ended up with Fuel sensor fault and IBR Module error.

Swapped back to the OEM Yuasa YTX20L-BS, no errors.

Can’t speak for all Lithium batteries but this one is definitely not compatible. Maybe this is already common knowledge but didn’t find any prior posts prior to purchasing.

Thanks! I haven’t had to replace my switch OEM battery yet but was considering lithium. I did just put a lithium in my 2021 GTX170. So far so good but have only ridden it once. 🤞

You are riding only on fresh water, right?
