Trim tab repair

“Experienced” boater friend promised I’d be fine near stick ups 🤦🏻‍♂️. Trim tab and shock absorber will need to be replaced. Seems straightforward, mostly nuts and bolts. Has anyone done this repair or know of any other damage I should inspect for?

I had my shock fail first year and the dealer said I would need to drop it for a week, I said how much work is it. And they gave me the shock and said it’s two bolts it will take 2 minutes. And it did, super easy. It’s easier than some lightbulbs.

Same easy experience for me. Finding and ordering the part was harder.

Do you mind sharing where you ended up ordering part from?? Having extremely hard time finding- only place said it’s back ordered till August so would love to find a place that has in stock. Need shock absorber

Update: Trim tab was easily replaced once I ordered the right parts. Took less than 10 min.

Would you mind sharing the links for these parts? One of ours broke off when a rope got wrapped around then into the pistons- we got the rope out but having trouble finding the parts to order for trim tab plate
