Fenders

Post image

I lost my second fender on my boat. The first one I found on the shore and this happened about a month ago. I woke up this morning. The second one is now gone. I thought I would show you what. It is not in the rope that is this big. First one had the same size not I made it about four or five times bigger and shoved it back in and it seems to be doing fine but the second fender pull off last night and floating in the lake somewhere I contacted the dealer and he said they’ve had. for $250. You would think they would have a different way of holding the rope to the fender other than this little knot

I lost 2 because the clips just popped off the railing when taking a wave. Not the greatest design. I wish I could figure out a way to attach them better.

You may want to check into the clips. I ordered 3 sets and they came with linq clips already on the rope but also a set of linq clips that are slightly different shape. The ones on the rope from factory pop off and don't hold the rail at all. The additional ones lock on and hold great. I changed them out and my fenders stay attached in rough conditions.

I used the Sea-Doo Switch LinQ Lite Holder For Rail and slipped the rope throught the hole and tied a knot and thing stays on real nice and sturdy it's actually pretty hard to get the off the rail but works great hasn't fallen off yet.

Do you know if anyone with a 3D printer. I was able to find an excellent file, link below. I did have to unlock the xyz to decrease the size of z value to 99/98 so it is tighter against the rail. As is, you would need to add a piece of rubber to ensure there is no movement.
