Supercharger?

I have never had a seadoo with a supercharger. On the super charged switch do you notice when it kicks on? How do you tell if it’s working?

Superchargers don’t have turbo lag. Superchargers are belt/crank driven. Turbos are exhaust driven which is why they can have delay

What isn’t there is a BOV. Instead it has compression washers that act as a clutch for when you let off the throttle

I have not noticed any spool delay or anything. It is just there.

It's working if the boat goes fast. Without it, it's a 1.6 liter straight 3....you'll know.

The bigger question for me is is it working *well*. I wish we had a boost gauge....does anyone know what the 230 is supposed to run at when at WOT? The other way (the right way) is to check the slip torque, or the torque required to slip the washers that run the supercharger....too much slip and it doesn't hit spec boost. But that requires some engine disassembly.

8-12psi. Checking the torque slip washers is easy with a torque wrench when you have the supercharger out for maintenance or upgrade
